I am having a problem putting a signature in my profile - just wondering if someone could explain in easy terms how to do this - also can your signature be anything?

There is a limit on the number of characters in your signature.

Your signature can be anything as far as a quote or a link you want to promote (your own or an affiliate). As pcwork stated, there is a maximum number of characters allowed.

To make the link clickable you place url between this code

If you want the actual url to be a text link, place the words between the code and use url=whateveryoururlis in the first set of brackets instead of just url.

Does that make sense?

Hi Happywife

Do I actually put then my website as that was what I did & it didn't work - don't think I had too many characters either.

Sorry if I am being stupid but I am just learning at the moment.

Here is the code for your signature:

<url=http://EnterYourWedsiteAddressHere.com>Enter Your Text Here</url>

Just replace the <> with []

Don't worry. You aren't being stupid. It's just confusing at first until you get the hang of it. Different sites use different codes, too, which can add further to the confusion.

You've almost got it. Look again at the code you have here.
BigD:

You only have one set of brackets [] You need opening brackets and closing brackets, The first one is your opening bracket and the second is the closing bracket. You put the text you want to be seen between those two sets.

getagrip gave you an exact example except you have to change the < sign to [ and the > sign to ].

The reason we can't literally show you an exact example is because it will turn into a link and you won't be able to see the code.

Try again and leave it in your signature. Then we can see what comes up and tell you if you've got it wrong or where to fix it. Okay?

Blessings,
Angie

Really sorry - I just don't seem to have grasped it, do I - anyway I have left it there so you could maybe tell me what I am doing wrong.

Thanks again

Okay,

1. Move the first ] bracket from just after the l in url to just after the l in global.

2. Remove the brackets from around the words Genuine Home Business.

3. Move the / inside the last set of brackets, between the [and the u.

Try again.

You are more than welcome. I'm not such an old hand at it that I can appreciate the dismay and frustration of just not getting it.

You should have seen me last month trying to some include scripts working on my insurance site! Ugh! I was pulling my hair out and dying for someone to help.

Glad you got it working. I clicked through to check it and all is well.

Blessings,
Angie

Practice makes perfect!

In order to make your link clickable, you need to wrap the link in this code . That's the opening and closing tags that will allow people to just click on it and go right to your site.

If you want to make the text clickable and not just the url, place the text between those tags and put the actual web url in the first tag like so url=http://nanciq.acnrep.com (inside the brackets, of course).

Try again and see how you do.
Blessings,
Angie

Hia i'm on day 4 of my money making online programme , i have to say i'm very skeptical i don't know if it's going to work for me,i'm prepared to do my home work and put in the hours.
I love this site because there are a lot of my questions already answered on here what can i say but a very big thankyou i feel i'm not alone in making this system work.
My first question was about the clickable link for the web site i still can't master it i been putting in
and i still can't click on it so i'm not the only one feeling a bit silly .

Let me see if I've got this straight, I'm new to this myself. It's (bracket)url=http://theurlIwanttouse(bracket)mysignaturetext(bracket)/url(bracket), is that right?
