happywife:
I still struggle from time to time (I'm here in the forum now, giving my brain a rest from trying to get some javascript includes to work on one of my sites

That is too funny - I find myself doing it all the time.... like, at this very moment, I NEED to be writing contect for my SBI site and because I am a tad bit slow in waking up this morning, I just automatically click over to the forum to see what is happening. lol

But I have gotten my motivator so now I shall be off and working - I have about ONE precious hour before my kids all get up so I better make use of it, eh?!

tearbear,
Are you looking to start a business and build a team of people that you make commissions on or do you want a "job"? If you are looking for a job, I can give you a few places to go but don't expect to earn much. $400 a month if you're lucky.

It's totally possible! It's a case of sifting through the scams and false promises, that's the really difficult bit, research fully! But that's the beauty of a place like this!
Best of Luck to you all!

As mentioned, it's all about research really. There are lots of scams out there but at the same time there is also plenty of legitimate ways to make money. Just be careful, do your research and then pick something which you believe you could succeed in.

Babydoll2,

There are lots of ways to make money online, but more take some form of starting cost. I would say the easiest and least costly is to start a Word Press Blog and promote other peoples products through affiliate programs. Don't give up trying.

Thanks,
Manning

The trouble with the world is that it's so negative. We thrive on stories of tragedy and scandal on TV, we love horrid movies and love to sordidly soil and vilify others.

Most people discourage. Sometimes consciously but mostly unconsciously. Your question is obviously a product of either negative experience or negative advice.

It's true many people lose money online. Many others make money. Whether one falls into one category or the other is simply a matter of choice.

To make money on the internet is to accept the internet as a part of the wider business environment in which we operate. Non internet based businesses succeed and also fail. The difference is how they are conceived and run.

If you want to make money on the internet, you must invest time in coining an idea and researching its viability. If you need to, you must invest in expertise to make informed decisions.

When you have the idea, you should work, work, work. Build your business based on sound workable strategies and practices. Outsource functions. Run it professionally.

There are no quick fixes. Work, work, work,

It depends on whether or not you are looking to run a business or are you looking for a hobby. If business is your answer, it will take money....bottom line.

Actually I would like to add, making money online isn't easy but it can be done with time and learning the correct skills. I've been working on making money online and I'm not making fantastic money but I've been at it for only a month and a half. The thing is, you have to know how you want to make your money...there are limitless possibilities but you should choose one you enjoy! I chose to create a website and promote a product (which ironically is for creating profitable websites). I have been making about $200/Day but plan on making much much more. It takes time...but is going to pay huge dividends.

Kindest,
Kody

It's totally possible to make money at home provided you're willing to learn the skills and put in hard effort in the beginning.

And in a microwave society like we live in, it sure isn't what most of us want - speaking for myself here. I want it all yesterday.

Just find the right company and right people to learn from/be with. There are literally millions of money making opportunities...

I receive e-mails almost every day with fascinating ideas how to earn a lot of money.. but most of them just seem to be good fairytales.
Not that I don't want to believe in you....

It is really very possible to make money online. The work at home niche is one of those that can make you a whole lot of money.

Before you go and do anything, I suggest that you read as much about how to advertise online, how to get people to subscribe to your newsletter, how to follow up, how to set up a website, what products to promote, etc...

There are so many things that you should learn along the way. I am in this online business since 2002 and I am still learning.

Everyday should be a learning process for you.

It is really possible to make a very good income online. Just never quit and always be willing to learn new stuff.

Tal

Yes you can make money at home. You just have to find the right one for you. I usually do pay per post and pay per click type of work at home. That can generate money slow though. I like inboxdollars to but many do not like it or give up on it. I will cash out at $35 in about 2 weeks probably. My new work at home opportunity is supercrafters. That is my most recent one. You assemble crafts at home and send it back. I assembler 10 then on monday sent them out and recieved $10 on friday. You can do 400 a week but I am not a big time crafters so I will most likely stick to 10 to 100 crafts per week. You need to keep searching to find the right one for you. One of the first and best steps is joining a forum like you have. This way you can get a load of tips and possible opportunities. Good luck with your hunt for work at home jobs if you have not already given up on it.

Found a good one recently. I even started a topic thread about it on here yesterday or the day before.

I have been on the same search. I have bought some different training programs and had to spend a little money to learn what I need to know. First you need to find a good product to market online, whether is be a free affiliate program or actual products.

You are better off finding something that you have an interest in, if you want to market successfully.
