Maybe Income4Beginners? It has worked well for many beginners. Also I suggest you check out the member' sigs here to find what suits you.

Hi there,

I'm planning to homeschool my child and in fact the amount of kids being homeschooled these days is increasing because of crappy educational standards. A lot of cooperatives create classes for their kids and many co-ops are always looking for people that are knowledgable about subjects that are hard to teach sitting at the kitchen table (like a workshop class). If you have a workshop or a decent amount of space, I would suggest feeling around or putting out an ad offering your services for local homeschooled kids. A lot of homeschooling parents are big on apprenticeships and hands-on classes for their kids. You may be surprised at the responses you get. If you try it, let me know how it goes! By the way, it's estimated that there's over 2.2 million homeschooled kids in the US and it's growing every year!

Try the Average Joe Income Package. It includes videos and tutorials for beginners which probally makes it easy to follow. Of course, it doesn't contain as much information as Profit Lance, but Profit Lance is for for intermediate affiliate marketers.

Ive come up with an idea. I have two free ways to get started in the travel industry for free but the issue im having is getting past people thinking its too good to be true. With so many scams people are skeptical. I figured if I let them get started for free that would alleviate their fears. Id love to hear any ideas anyone might have on giving away a biz opt for free.

Id love to blatantly advertise the idea here but that wouldnt be going by the rules of the forum so anyone interested you can contact me. But id love to see what your thoughts are about giving away an opportunity for free. For me I see it as a viable option. I have all the training they need automated as well as with online resources and live support calls. Plus it weeds out the people who really want it vs those that dont.

Get back to me with ideas and comments.

You have to follow your heart and not just an opportunity that promises the Gazzillion Dollar pie...

As posted before you have alot of knowledge, you can write your own ebook and make money. Hey there is a guy that made a fortune selling "how to play piano by ear" books...

I was an Iron Worker and then owned my own fab shop for 27 years, I am still learning all this internet stuff and beleive me it is a job, just not as physical.
I now make good money and work 3 to 4 hours a day not all at once mind you but some here and some there.

Now I have time to make goofy stuff with all my equipment.. no more employees either..

Good Luck and remember Persevere,,,

For anyone just getting started in Internet Marketing, I would recommend Holly Mann's book, Honest Riches. I learned more just from reading her website than I have in 3 weeks doing research on the internet. She is very experienced and she shares it ALL with you and she writes it in plain English, explaining every detail. She even gives advise on setting up your business. It's only $37 right now and she's giving away freebies with it. She'll even build a website for you to get you started.
It's not a turn-key business like what you're wanting, but it lays out the foundation for ANY online venture you decide to go with. I bought Profit Lance and was overwhelmed! I still think Profit Lance has a lot of great information in it and I do plan to use it, but I needed the "Internet Marketing for Dummies" course first. Holly's book explains everything.

As far as business opportunities, there are many, just do your research on every company. Check with the BBB and read reviews about them (and not the biased reviews that are trying to sell you the product). The Travel industry is really booming right now and people are looking online for better deals and discount packages, so it's an easy sell. It usually takes a small investment to get started, but the commissions are HUGE so you get your money back quickly. Affiliate marketing can be profitable with no invesment, but in small amounts and you really have to do your research to find which products to advertise and where to advertise. Honest Riches, Profit Lance or any of those online marketing books can help with that. I wanted to sell products online using dropshipping, but I am having a hard time finding a reputale company that carries different products than everyone else. There is a lot of competition out there selling the same products, so your profit margin is driven down significantly.

I hope I helped and didn't discourage you. There are a lot of very knowledgable and helpful people on this forum and I'm sure if you send a private message to any of them, you will get your questions answered.

Good luck!

Nowadays I think the best to do is for internet business. You just have to find your niche and start working on it. There is so much potential and people are really willing to work with you.

What else can you do business from home and potentially have customers from around the world?

I normally look for opportunities that will give me residual income.

One Step 4 Income can provide you with that without getting broke in the process since you only from your profit, not from your own pocket.

we ran across a stay at home job that has a real value. It is not labor intensive and earnings are very livable or quite substantial. It has to do with supplying earnings analysis for courts for things like wrongful death, injury, alimony (that is an open market) etc. It is not hard work at all and there is always plenty of it. Feel free to contact me if you want more info.

Hi Sonic2,
would you please let me know how to get started in supplying earning analysis for courts?

Thank you.

Wow I feel for you. If you are going to take a stab at working on line don't pay into biz ops. Look around and try to find things that are free to try. Don't try something that will later cost you meaning risk free 30 day trial. All that means is next month you will have to pay. You can try doing affiliate work, customer service from home, MPM, and the list goes on and on.....I myself am really new at putting together websites which hopefully will generate some income. I work on my site daily and go to forums to read and learn what others do to improve traffic ect. Just keep reading as much info about what is out there I hope you find something. You would probably make more mowing lawns it sounds like.... sadly... Wow 300.00 a week? Don't give up.....

I know of a site called Project Payday. It's not the greatest way to make money online but it is legit (which is hard to find) and great for someone completely new to get their feet wet right away.

I would not recommend Project Payday. I tried it at the beginning of December. Yes, it is legit and you get paid immediately which is great, but I found that there are offers inside offers and I had no idea where some of them came from. I kept my offers organized by date and if I didn't really want them, I made sure I canceled them by the time the trial period ended. Just this evening, I noticed a charge on my credit card that I did not recognize. Tomorrow I will have to call and find out what it is and dispute it. I looked through my records and have no record of this offer. This is not the first time this has happened.

I have heard the same from other people that have been with project payday. I just would not recommend it for someone starting out on the internet. And I would say that if you do do project payday, be very careful!

As mentioned earlier, possibly the drop shipping method would work. Find your niche; something you are passionate about and do some research on it, such as if there is a market for it, how it rates on the search engines, etc. There are many ways to do this research, but that is where you should start.

I am a 48 year old dance teacher and the same physical breakdown is happening with me. My dance teaching days are coming to an end so I have turned to internet marketing and learning all I can about it. I have learned a great deal and am putting it into practice. Believe me, it takes hard work, getting through learning curves and a lot of patience. But as long as you don't give up and keep consistently learning and applying, you will be successful.

Good luck to you!

Well this is my first post. I checked out MPM just a few minutes ago and I like that fact that it is free. I am embarrassed to admit how much money I actually have spent the last few years thinking I was going to get some good information on online businesses. But lesson learned, so now I will try the MPM and hopefully this will work out for me. If anyone has any ideas to help me out in this venture, please let me know.

I believe that you can make a good living on the internet. First you have to have the right mindset. Remember that your thoughts create your life. Also your focus determines your future and your fortune. There are several programs that are scams, I have been throught several myself. But as someone mentioned above you need to find a mentor and stick with that person. Do not jump from one program to another, you will lose a lot of money.

Well Said. Cut through the fluff, the hype, the company rhetroric, and you have the true meat and potatoes of a business, mentorship. We can never forget that we are in a People Business. It's not your products, your compensation plan, none of that. It's People. When I'm talking to prospective business partners (prospects) I make it clear that if they are serious and truly want this industry, they need to find a mentor, a person, they can connect with, and stick with them, even it it's not me!

Mentors developing mentors, that's what this is about. Jumping to another business is alright if you just can't connect with the leaders and the company you are in. People do that all the time, realize a particular business or career just is not a fit for them. It's not alright if you are "failing" and just running from opportunity to opportunity trying to find the one that "works." If that's going on, it's probably not the opportunity that's not working. At that point, you need to do a self assessment to see if either you are not following the lead and teaching of your mentor, if you are not doing the things you need to do to succeed, or perhaps you are just not cut out for being in business for yourself.

This business, though simple, is not easy, and it's NOT for everyone. You have to have a very thick skin, a strong enough, gut level deep enough reason "why" you are doing it and you have to be teachable. It's no shame to try and fail because you are just not cut out for it, no more than it's a shame to start off your working life in one career only to find it's not right for you and you need to do something else. Often you don't know until you try something that it's right for you.

Just don't go running around half cocked and never really following through and then go blaming the business or the industry or crying "SCAM."

We certainly have a lot of fresh ideas now!

I was chasing my tail last year until I joined the Wealthy Affiliate University.
Whatever you choose, avoid get rich quick scams..and if an offer sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
I would spend a few days researching opoportunities.
There are some great legitimate programs out there, and endless ideas!
To your new success!

frankykeys, you sound like a very driven individual. You are someone that knows that what he's doing isn't right for him. As far as finding a home based business to start, you have to ask yourself 3 questions:

1. Why MUST you have a successful home business? What is driving you? What is it that you CAN'T have in your life anymore and/or what is it that you absolutely MUST HAVE now?

2. If you don't believe that it's POSSIBLE for you to have a successful home based business or make your living from home, you won't. It's that simple. Do you belive it's possible?

3. Are you ready? Ready, FIRE, then aim... This is the operating philosophy you MUST adopt to succeed with a home based business. That's backwards for most people who like to aim before they fire. The fact is that home based business success is a moving target... The only thing constant about it is change. You need to stop analyzing the game and simply jump into it. You can't learn from the outside... You have to be *IN THE RING* to truly understand and profit from it. In fact, home based business and online businesses are where you can truly be earning WHILE you're still learning.

I started a home business after 131 people were fired the week before Christmas at the company that I had been working with for 7 years. The company President still took his $1M bonus that year. Talk about a kick to the stomach! It was at that time I realized that I am responsible for my future and I took action to make a change.

That's really the first step. You must take action.

Then, make sure that you join a program that has leaders that will mentor you and a team that has a training program for online marketing. This training should be free. It should be QUALITY training at no additional cost to you or anyone that you recruit into your team.
