Hi - I'm completely new to this forum, though have taken a look at one or two others. Have just been reading the thread here and I'm IMPRESSED!

Great information, well-written posts and - most of all - it seems like people are actually being NICE to each other.
in some of the forums I've visited, it almost seemed as if there was a kind of oneupmanship going on (especially in posts that had anything at all to do with web coding - lol!)
So - a nice introduction to the forum and thanks everyone for the really good info above.

 I suggest US Free Ads.
If you upgrade to $9.99 per month:
 unlimited ads
 a mini site builder
 unlimited images
you can add an opt-in.. and Google loves and owns it.
This is where I started, because you do not have to write so much..
Site Sell has another complimentary ebook Make Your Content Pre-Sell which is a must read...

Free Advertising definitely works if done properly. Artcle marketing is very powerful to get targeted traffic to your site. The article should not be a sales pitch, but rather give informative information using your specific keywords once in the title and a few times throughout the article. Then in the resource box, put your link and the code using your specific keywords. If done right, you'll end up on the first page of google within hours to days under those specific keywords. Finding powerful keywords when writing articles will make all the difference in the amount of traffic and if it's targeted.

Once done with your article, you can submit it to ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com and articlemarketer.com just to name a few that are good to use.

If your just trying to promote a static website, You won't get anywhere that way. Selling Business Opportunities Is all about Promoting you not the Business. People join people not a company. Work on Yourself first and Your Business will Thrive.

Free advertising is very tough. It is usually sites filled with people just posting ads and no one buying. The best way to get free advertising is by writing informative articles that arent sales pitches but that have value to the end reader. And then they might be tempted to going to your site. You need to offer someone expertise or leadership. Not just some cheap sales pitch. People are looking for leaders, if you are one and successful it resonates. Advertising on free sites is usually a sign of weakness and not something that people want to duplicate. So therefore you need to be creative. Good Luck.

Free Advertizing does work if you know the proper way to do it.
I host several live trainings weekly teaching online marketers how to be effective at free advertizing.
In many way's marketing online is similar to offline strategies, you just develop different skills. Here is the formula I use for online success:
Skills + Strategies + Testing + Fine Tuning Based on Results = Online Success

This is a great post. Thanks for all the information, I am doing quite a few of these things and they are working for me. I have been looking for a few other avenues to market and get my site out there. Thanks again.
