Just curious if anyone has had any success using any of these venues for getting new people for your MLM ??

I personally don't use any of those much as I just haven't had time to get into it, but I do know others that do - any networking is good if you are out to genuinely help people..... there are many methods that work to get people to your 'online storefront' so to speak - some people seem to like those sites and others, like myself, prefer these forums..

MySpace is probably my number one place where I generate traffic to my website. I will say that there is a certain way to go about interacting in these types of communities. It is important to build relationships with people in these types of networks. Don't just spam your friends on there or post ads all over the place in there. It is truly about getting to know and communicating with the people that you meet there.

I've been using pathconnect for a few weeks...still learning to build it but it has already built contacts and friends. Its fun too..

I haven't gotten into the Social Networking sites yet either, because I don't have time and don't really know how they work.
I guess I just need a simple, straight-forward guide to how they work with Internet Marketing.

You are so right, Breanne. I use all 3 and get lots of traffic as well as new teammates. The secret is not having a hidden agenda. Just focus on building relationships. MLM is not about companies and products. It's about people.

I am still acclimatizing myself to myspace.com.
I think as other people have already indicated, the key to unlock our marketing prowess is to build relationships.
People join other people - not products.
We must be genuine in helping others.
Whatever comes afterwards will be a huge bonus

I'd like to thank everyone for their comments. I agree, it's about building relationships and truly trying to help people.
You've got to realize that every opportunity is not for everyone. I like to ask questions to determine if my opportunity is the right fit for the people I meet.

Myspace rocks! We have around 10,000 friends, on two sites and get at least 1/3 of our leads from there. Just sell yourself first, then start posting bulletins (throw in some jokes, etc) and never send anyone a message about your business. If you make true friendships, and they love your joke of the day bulletins, they will soon read your biz-op/product bulletins and come to you!

Yes give people a service and they will appreciate and come in droves. I prefer facebook more because the people on that site are a little more adult oriented than facebook. Twitter is also a very good networking site.

I use twitter, plaxo and facebook. I just like the quality of leads I get from these sites.

I agree totally, I use MySpace, tagged, facebook and many more to get traffic to my sites. On MySpace I have about 20 accounts for all my different sites. It all depends on how you market your sites though

Social Networking take a lot of time and I use only One site at the moment, and that is DirectMatches.com. Most of the people there is business people, so there is no problem to make business connections there.

My space, facebook, are only text related communications. I've been personally having success using streaming video and face to face communications to grow my business. It is a proven fact that video says it better! By using video there is more of a personal relationship. In the next 3-5 years everything will video driven anyway. Streaming video is the wave of the future!

My husband has been using Myspace up until about the last month or so...he still uses his myspace but has been focusing on facebook a little more. He has had alot of traffic coming from his Myspace page. So, I'll have to update re: facebook when we have more info. I am just starting to utilize myspace and facebook myself.

I use facebook and myspace to promote. So far not much luck, but I'm not very familiar with the sites. A few of my facebook friends have asked me about my website, though. I would think myspace would be useful, since anyone can view a public profile, but I haven't seen much traffic from it.
For those of you who have successfully used myspace...do you have any tips or strategies for how you did it?

I agree with those comments that these social networking sites can be very helpful when used properly.
It's a great way to find new friends from around the world. It's so important to have a profile that the visitor can get to know you well, without pushing our business. Make new friends first and be helpful without expecting anything in return is the best way to use these sites.

According to my research Facebook is a CIA spy op designed to gather all your personal info and store it on a huge database. This is so that when/if "they" get their new world order they will be able to use it to round you all up.
This by the way is against your US constitution.
Don't believe me. I recommend you start researching this stuff. Go to Google video and watch all the videos by Jordan Maxwell. From there the truth will unfurl.
