I have a lot of questions about auto responders. How many of you use auto responders? Do you write your own material or do you use a prepackaged program? I was recently listening to a program on auto responders and a five step process for creating auto responder messages was shared. I though I would share this with you.

First, you need a short, intreging subject line that has a tag at the beginning that lets you know who is sending it.

Second, you need and opening that establishes a problem, presents a fact, or relates something true.

Third, you give them a practical solution to the problem, build the sense that there is more.

Fourth, you pitch your opportunity to find out more.

Last, is your call to action. Be very specific, such as "go visit now," or "please visit now."

Please let me know if you are using auto responders and if you use a formula like this to write your script. It would help me in the future as I progress in my business.

Autoresponders have become an important and versatile tool in today's Internet marketing scene. I use them to personalize the customer experience, inform, educate and deliver content on a pre-arranged schedule.

When used correctly, autoresponders can provide a great way to build your business, expand your influence and establish mutually beneficial relationships.

The 5-point sequence you outllned for creating autoresponder messages can be applied with equal effectiveness to article writing, copywriting, sales promotions and several other methods of traffic generation.

Bottom line is if you are marketing online and driving traffic to your website 24/7 you are going to need an autoresponder.

The series of messages you use will just depend on what you are marketing and what you have to say. Additionally with an autoresponder you will be able to broadcast out updates or special announcements to your growing list of interested people.

If you are marketing online without an autoresponder you are actually costing yourself more money then one may be trying to save by not having one.

Those that are in networking opportunities really need to have such and having a company that provides such services and allows you to make income from it is ideal.

Auto-responders and email marketing is the most important tool for a newbie and a very seasoned internet marketer.

If you were to promote a product without capturing your leads name and email, your sales would be a whole lot less then if you actually captured your visitor's email and name.

If you are not using an auto-responder to follow up with your leads, you are losing a LOT of sales.

If you aren't building your list with an auto-responder you should get out of the Internet Marketing Game... AR's are a key to keeping in contact with your group, if you were to try and keep track of your e-mails (For example our 7day video series) you'd go insane and probably not do a good job of keeping those 7 days once you were past 5-7 people.

I'm currently using a packaged system, and one that I have installed on my host for free (infinity responder). I'm doing PPC and split testing to see what converts into sales better (if there is any difference). I'm also split testing between videos and just a simple page that's got nothing on it at all other than just the Tag line with the free offers.

That was a little harsh but I agree to a curtain degree.

The nice thing about an auto-responder and following up with people does make a huge difference in your business and in your income.

The fortune is in the follow up.

Think of it this way. When people visit your offer, many of them will not buy right away. There can be many reasons for this. They can be at work and don't have the time to read the sales page or maybe they are not yet convinced that what you have to offer is for them or not. Following up really with the same offer gets this into their subconcious mind where they will eventually buy from you.

An autoresponder that allows ongoing one-way communication to your list is the single most fundamental tool to this business.

You don't need to learn webmastering or have a hosting account but an autoresponder is essential.

I pay for a monthly one and I use features in it I wouldn't expect to find on cheaper ones. I always look though, because I'm frugal by nature, but I haven't found a cheaper alternative with the features I need.

I don't use it but there's a "donation-ware" one at - http://www.vertuso.com which doesn't look too special aside from being free for a 500 person list. Worth looking at perhaps for folks on a shoestring.

Malibumentor, if you don't mind me asking, what is the cost for the one you are using? I'd like to compare.

drunyan - what autoresponder are you using? I'm using GetResponse. It works well if you haven't chosen one yet.

Building your list of leads can be one of the most important things you can do while building your business. What better way is there to communicate with and educate your leads than by use of an autoresponder?

It gives you the time to focus on generating more leads for your business. It also helps you find the people who are truly serious, because if you get a call from someone on your list, you know they are ready to either learn more or get started.

These are things that I have learned over time by experience. As for the copy, I found it best to be yourself and not even introduce your business till about the 3rd email in your series. On one of my lists, I don't have a single email about my main business.

Its all about creating and giving value to your prospects. Usually by creating a solution. I offer a system to make traffic exchange surfing worthwhile and profitable, but do you think I will have time to walk each individual lead through the process? No one would. Therefore I use an autoresponder to help educate and take calls from people who are really serious.

Half the time I get calls from people asking me what my main company is!

The company I am with charges us $15/month for the use of theirs. It's really good and it came with scripts. We can even embed You Tube videos into our messages.

autoresponders are such an awesome leverage tool. It is like literally hiring someone to sit at a computer to send out emails as soon as they come in but not having to deal with labor laws! lol I have seen many successful people MLM and non MLM use autoresponders to much success. It is definatly something everyone should get on top on if they want to take thier business to the next level.

Offer information about your home business
Offer a free ecourse- opportunities here are endless

With Autoresponders you can control the information sending to your subscribers for ex you can preload with 10-12 messages and as somebody signs up he will start getting the message and the best part is the cost of integrating an autoresponder is very minimal depending upon your subscribers. I would recommend getresponse or aweber

Auto-responders are great tools to market your business, IF you use them in the right manner.

Driving people to your capture page and continually slamming them offers and SELLING them instead of letting them get to know you is a mistake. Especially in network marketing.

Everybody refers to attraction marketing. WHY? It WORKS! It's common sense. People want to BUY from somebody they trust. If they feel like you are just a slimy salesman...they will run for the hills. Remember, this is a long term venture. RIGHT?

There are different ways to use an auto-responder to connect with your list. You can learn copywriting skills, which is a skill that NEEDS to be developed over time. Or, you can use a system which has pre-written e-mails that are dripped on prospects over the weeks and months ahead. They do the selling for you.

A good way to stop without ever starting, is to bog yourself down with having to write the perfect e-mail series. I personally believe you should find a general marketing system that has expert copywriters to do this for you. In time, you will be able to learn how to write well conceived e-mails that produce results. This is what I have done and it WORKS!

Auto-responders can be great tools. However, don't forget the most important tool is to CALL the prospect and talk with them. E-mails do not connect like person to person phone calls do.

Most of the people who visit your website will not enroll into what you are offering their first visit. And, most people do not buy a product or service on the Internet until they've seen it or heard about it at least 7 times. Think about this yourself... How many times did you hear about a certain business oppurtunity before you actually signed up? I bet it took several visits before you were convinced.

Some business opportunities are so strong and compelling, that many people do actually enroll on their 1st or 2nd visit. But the point here is, most people need multiple exposures to a product or service before they buy it or join. But with a good lead capture page, many people will enroll on their first exposure, but won't actually understand your System/Business/Product or how it can help them or their own business, until after they've received a few email communications from your autoresponder.

Also, you can have your autoresponder send them a free Internet Marketing course on Attraction Marketing as mentioned in an earlier post or other things that will allow you to make money even if they don't buy into your initial offering. Offering free items that help others goes along way in building a better relationship with those prospects. Just Remember to give them good content that is of value to them before you start hammering them with products to buy.
