Working from home makes me feel good. No other "job" can beat this. You are with your child the whole time, managing your own business and earning money all at the same time.

How can you be lazy working from home if you do knowledge and skills development activities? I still consider myself as a newbie but you know what? In my experience, you can really become more skilled than the boss or supervisors in a JOB. So working from home should really be encouraged. It makes you a better person too.

A work at home mom whom i know said that working from home is really horrible. She also said that sitting in home and doing job really makes her panic. But i know few work at home moms who are happy with their life style. So its difficult for a newbie...I dont know how many in this community feels like this. Please share your thoughts...

It certainly can & I've had days were I switch on my computer & I just cannot be bothered & other days I have so much motivation, I could spend more than 24 hours by the computer & propably fry the laptop.

I think it's an individual question & what kind of state of mind they possess & their motivational issues.

I am also starting my home business and I'm 'far' from lazy...I do have my little girl at home and I'm thankful that I can stay home with her and start this business without sending her to daycare or something like that.
I do find it abit of a struggle to balance things as I only have real concentrated time to work on my business when my daughter is napping! Which is now only about 1 hr!
But, we also get out of the house almost everyday and with all the needs of the household, life is certainly busy..but, I wouldn't change a thing!!
Once I start making some money, I'm sure I'll love it even MORE!

Well, I am working from my home for the last 3 years or so, since I have to look after my two kids. But not for a minute, I feel lazy or bored. Actually, I feel so blessed to be with my family whole day while working at the same time. My performance level has also gone up.

Maybe it has a little truth in it. Working from home may bring about a little laid back attitude in people.

Hello Everyone!

I just signed up today and am really enjoying learning from all the feedback. In getting to the place where I love working from home I invited my whole family to help me with all my special needs, and here's what each one contributes. Sounds a bit off, but I'll admit that wealth management is not my greatest strength. So my husband has finally taken this over. When I show up things are already paid for. When I get in my car gas is in it. I cannot tell you what a feeling it is not to have to do anything but gooooo! My 28-year old son knows how bad I am with being on time, so all the clocks are ahead. While I know this I don't know what time it really is and I'm never late. My 5 year old reads now and sorts the mail and even puts it on the right desks. We do videos and she even shows you her technique. I use to avoid the mailbox so often that they sent me a note from the Post Office saying that they would stop delivering it if things didn't improve. So even the youngest is contributing to my sanity in a powerful way. With all these weak areas tightened up you are probably wondering what I do? As soon as the site is up it will tell all. And yes! That is also requiring a team as well! Who knows? Before long I might be knocking on your doors too!

Believe well!

I have worked from home around my 5 children ( youngest is 6 & oldest is now 18 ) for the last 12 years +. At times it can be quite socially isolating and you do have to be very disciplined which fortunately I am but now that I have built up my passive income to a reliable monthly level I am able to get out more

I recommend that if you are working from home, that you also find things to do regularly to get out.

Best of luck to you - just remember it is what you make it!! Working from home doesn't make you a prisoner to it - it can actually set you free!!!

Treshay,

I really admire your positive attitude on staying home with your kids and making it work. More of us need to adopt your attitude.

I'm happy on seeing huge response for this question. Therefore i decided to share my thoughts also. Recently i saw my friend in shopping mall after long time. She told me that she is work at home mom now and happy to handle family and work on same place. She take care of kid on emergency as well as work rest of time. I was happy about that.

I love working from home! I've never worked so hard until I started working from home. When you work for someone else, you're not responsible for anything other that the tasks that are assigned to you. Working from home makes me a better business owner/worker! I'm responsible for the tasks that needs to be done that day and the whole business strategy.

I think its all about your convenience when it is the matter of working from home and your comfort levels count as well. Few, like to choose a home based career, in order to take care of things at home besides being financially independant. Some people like to work independently instead being in a team under supervision.

So its upto different people and all that matters is how comfortable you are in choosing to be an independent contractor.

I can really relate to some of the posts here. I have a full time job and I have started a home business with hopes of making it my full time job. It is inspirational to see how much work you all put into your family and home business efforts. I wish you all the best of luck!!

I like your saying for work at home being best alternative every human dreams for. This is an absolute truth. Do you believe that in the future, something like 200 years from now, maybe 80% of the population on our planet will work from home. I think new generations have a great chance to achieve self-motivated, independent skills on the computer. The world will be much better place to live once the humans rise their level of work in their own time.We have the need to work built in our system so it is not hard to do things once we acknowlage how to do something like computer work. There is also always time for being lazy, if somebody likes it but I think being lazy is like being bored so not right or idyll feeling t have!

I can never do any work at home personally, I usually just go to the local library and get most of my hard work done, and then at home I'll just check up on things and answer emails.

I was actually very LAZY before I started working from home! Now I don't feel lazy anymore, I developed love for work what really boosts my self esteem and the point of view from my perspective is that it is essential to have your independence what we get from the work. If we earn our income we have our freedom and that freedom leads to independent status which is just great! Lazy is bad, and if we are intellectual we want to do things right what is opposite, what is good.
