I was just wondering if anyone has had success with data entry jobs? I know I've heard of some that are scams but I've also heard that some are good.....unfortunately I didn't get any names of sites that are good or bad. Can anyone shed some light on this for me???

Thank-you
Victoria

ummm...I have never heard any good from any of them as they are mostly scams unless you can find a company or business that will actually have a real data entry job for you.

Otherwise it's " Pay a small fee for the instructions on how to place ads so that others can pay the small fee so that you can now send them the instructions so that THEY can place ads... these scams are disguised in various ways such as 'data processing', 'processing emails', 'stuffing envelopes', etc,etc... "

Good luck!

Thanks Viola!

I figured as much, I'm finding a lot of systems are like this. I am signed up with My Online Income System but things are going slow. I know it takes time to get things going, I'm willing and ready to do this, I'm just finding it hard to keep everything on track.
I am a stay at home mom of one right now and our financial just took a huge dip; we found out we have black mold in our basement...eekk! So I'm trying to help in any way I can.

Sorry to be all depressing, I'm not meaning to sound this way, I'm just stressed at the moment.

Thanks for all your information on the data entry!

Victoria

Victoria,

To help you out, it might be a good idea to do some affiliate marketing.
This is a quick way to make some extra money.
If you pick a few popular products from Clickbank for example and then advertise with classified ads and articles.

Be careful with that black mold - it can be nasty to your health. My best wishes to you in getting rid of it. Have you ever heard the saying..." All good things must come to an end"?? Well.... all bad things DO come to an end eventually...

We had a really nice evening planned last night. My hubby was going to take several of the youngest kids to dinner and they were all excited as he was going to take them on his motorbike and then our son stumbled when he got off and broke his arm.

Things happen but they don't last forever.

Avoid data entry "jobs" where you have to pay a joining fee. Contact local businesses, who may be outsourcing their data entry.

That's a pretty good way of putting it LOL!

Are data entry jobs even real, so to speak. Those websites that promote such are usually just using a play on words for inputting your data into an advertising medium.

Heck I just did data entry when I typed in this post.

Work from home success isn't going to come that easy.

If you like to write articles and such, why not join sites like Elance and Constant Content? You can join for free, and there is some good money to be made for writing on the internet.

I am a ghostwriter who writes for individual clients, SEO firms and for sites like Constant Content. I have no special degree in writing or anything like that. It's a great income, and you have the luxury of doing it all from home.

Good luck!

Key for Cash is legitimate, but you'll end up making about $3 an hour. The work is easy, but there's no money in it at all, and the work tends to be sporadic. Still, it's real, they do pay, and it costs nothing to try it out. The evaluation test is not easy; you may have to take it a few times to get accepted.

Just don't try FromHomeDataEntry.com! I tried it and I'm still waiting for payment. While waiting, I checked out some forums on data entry and work from home and haven't read a single positive thing about it. Many who tried as I did have also not been paid and they've been waiting far longer than I have. Well, too late for me. Should have checked it out before signing up.

Anyone here has tried this site and gotten paid? I'd like to know.

Hi Victoria,

Although things might not look great at first, but you are on the right track. Forget about data entry and focus with My Online Income System. It's not the greatest training or anything, but it's good. Just don't get distracted by the latest stuff.

Two things you need to know though:
1. No matter what, never buy the coaching that they will call you to try to sell you. They don't know what they are doing and could hurt your credit history if you follow their plan.
2. You'll be asked at one point to promote the system itself as a training. Don't expect a lot of sales from those promotions. The same method works like magic with other niches.

What MOIS doesn't teach is market research and how to pick the niche. You can learn that from this forum.

One more thing. Try to get organized and focused. I know it's hard when you have a kid at home, but you don't really need a lot of time at the beginning. Try to do your work around the nap(s).

Best of luck

I agree with most of the post here as regards data entry jobs which i call data entry scams.

I signed up for a data entry job from a website some time ago, sorry i cannot remember the name now because my pc crashed and i lost all my data.

My experience then was not encouraging at all, infact what they do is to scam people.some will tell you that sorry, that this offer is not available in your area now after you have paid for the program.and they will now suggest another thing for u.

The one i joined told me to post ads for them and i only get paid when the ads i post make a sale.can you imagine such deception?

Please run away from data entry job, they are fake, you dont have any thing to show for the money you pay and even the work you have put in as they will never pay you.

Just remain focused with what you have seen working.

Affiliate marketing is good, people are making good income from it,but its not easy as the so called gurus claim, they wont tell you the real truth.

Affiliate marketing needs more understanding of it,there are some secrets that may be hidden,it work better when you must have created a good responsive list, that is the way the guru make big money from affiliate programs.

The clickbank i signed up with has not been favorable at all,i have been promoting without more than a sale, and that sale came from a trusted friend.

But after that first sale,no other again and i have not receive the commission of that first sale i made because i have not yet reach the specified amount for payout.

I have decided to leave the money for clickbank as i have focused on what is working for me now.and am happy for that.I dont think i have any other thing to do with clickbank for now because i receive instant payment from the program straight to my alertpay account with i withdraw at any time i want.

I dont want to mention the program here because i dont want to go against the rules of this forum.I will share the information or website if any one here tell me whether it is lawful or unlawful to do so.

Good luck every one.

Paul.

I tried 2 of them and failed with both.
I would say (Stay Away)

Believe it or not, I tried stuffing envelopes 30 yrs ago and did make a little money, but got to feeling guilty about it and quit.

This was before the internet and everything was done by mail.

Yeah - I just saw earlier on another forum today that they are currently paying out $0.20 USD for 3,000 entries (or data fields). That's insane. Can't believe people are actually doing this for that low of pay. Money is money, but I can think of better ways to maximize time and earn more without a doubt!
