Internet is an ever evolving medium. Please let me know if solo ads are still effective and justify the cost. Kindly also let me if you have used any service that has consistantly given results.
I believe that solo ads can still be effective if the prospect will open the email. You then must have a well written ad that meets the need of the reader.
Yes, solo ads do work, but it depends on the ezine that you purchase the soload in. Of course you want an ezine with a high number of subscribers, but you also want to choose the publication of a publisher who has a good relationship with his/her list. When a good relationship exists, the emails get opened. Before placing any solo ads, subscribe to the ezines that you are interested in advertising in, and get a feel for the publishers relationship with their list.
I have used solo adveritsing for a few years now - It works very well for me. But keep in mind that you need a good well written ad!!
I'm coming late to this discussion, but I'm not familiar with solo ads. Can anyone point me to some information? Thanks!
Sarza - A solo ad is a ad that is sent out to the entire subscriber base of "EZINE/NEWSLETTER" all by itself. Generaly with solo ads, your ad is sent out ALONE! Giving you lots more exposure! We do solo ads with our ezine and have great success with them, and I have also advertised in many other ezines before and had great success with them! Goodluck! Delecia
Yes, Solo Ads still work! But you have to do your homework. Search for the good ones and create creative ads and subjectlines. Also keep your ads fresh and do not exagerate on your offers. Content my friend!!!
They can be very effective in driving good traffic, but as noted it depends on the list and source being used to send solo ads. For example a traffic exchange solo list may be less effective than a good ezine which has a diverse following. Moreover, it can depend on what you are marketing and its price point.
Solo Ads are VERY EFFECTIVE! Here's some keys: 1st test your copy with cheap solo ads, or with safelist. REMEMBER- that is your solo does good with a safelist, this is a sure sign that it will perform well with a good ezine. However, if it does bad with a safelist, and you ad copy is good...then retest it with a cheap solo. Keep in mind that the higher the price for a solo ad...the less competition you are likely to have. Solo ads can be a gamble...so be careful!
iM NEW TO SOLO ADS CAN U GIVE ME SOME GOOD PLACES TO START ADVERTISING.IS THERE ONE THAT IS THE BEST?
tomcathat: iM NEW TO SOLO ADS CAN U GIVE ME SOME GOOD PLACES TO START ADVERTISING.IS THERE ONE THAT IS THE BEST? Do a Google search for ezines, newsletters and publications that cater to your specific niche. Then select a handful that best target the groups of people who would benefit the most from whatever product/service you are promoting. Email, or call the publishers and ask about cost, the size and responsiveness of their lists, and other important details. Then take it from there. Hermas
Hello All, Solo ads are a very effective means of advertising, and guess what? I've never sent a solo ad through an ezine, I send mine through a source that hasn't even been mentioned here before: Text Ad Exchanges! Most text ad exchanges will offer you FREE advertising just for you to become a free member. Now there are solo ads at the TAE's called SUPER SOLOS (generic term, each group calls them something else) where for a very fair price, anywhere from $4.49 to $9.95, you can submit your solo ad from 1 site and it will get sent through a Network of usually 20-40 sites, with memberships ranging from 4,000 to 27,000+. So you get a very good bang for your buck. If you want to test your ad before spending the BIG BUCKS, these are a great way to test them and you will get results. Enjoy. Regards, Marv Dorn
Hello All, Just me again, I forgot to mention these are all credit based Ad Exchanges and with the Super Type Solos, members get more credits for viewing them. Even the basic solos have credits attached to them, so members click the solos so they can earn enough credits to send their solos, etc... This helps keep the ads effective. Please excuse my 2 posts in a row, but just after I hit the Post Message button, this popped into my head. Regards, Marv Dorn
YES, SOLO ADVERTS WORK BUT YOU MAY GET CONFUSED BY THE WAY, IF YOU DO NOT CONCENTRATE ON A SPECIFIC NUMBER OF SITES TO USE. I WILL JUST ADVICE TO CHOOSE LIKE 8 SITES TO WORK WITH AND WHEN U FACE THEM SQUARELY, YOU WILL HAVE A GOOD CAUSE TO SMILE. JUST MAKE SURE YOUR ADVERTS ARE CATCHING
