I currently started working with Zija. I love the product and know that I am in this business because I am passionate about it. However, I am having a really hard time getting people in my downline. I have went through everyone I know with no luck. I have used facebook and more. I have 3 children and don't have alot of time to do face to face to try to find prospects. Is there any other way to find people for my downline online?

britt27 are you working with support from your upline? If they are not helping much then you have come to the right place. Also be patient for your results. You need a good foundation on knowing how to grow your downline. How is your approach on the opportunity? Are you working on a customer base? Many times a customer will get involved on the business side because they already know about the benefits of the products. Getting customers and people in your downline requires a series of steps and it's vital to understand the basic but proven principles. One other source is to look on youtube and type in selling or sales and marketing. This will give you an idea from some of the well known greats who have experience. Hope this helps you some. Let us know if you have any specific questions. [IMG]

Have you tried using some free tools to help you with prospecting online? There are so many ways to generate leads online without having to face your family and friends!

Are you having trouble getting customers as well? Sometimes people have to experience the product first and form an opinion before they will join the business. I am not sure what you product is but sometimes if can afford to give away samples? Post flyers on bullitin boards. does your library have a bulletin board. Leave a flyer or your business cards.
Also you have to be patient. It takes time and patients in any business. It isn't an overnight success. Also posting in forums and there is free advertising if you can't afford ads. Just check around the different threads here and see what others are doing. Maybe you will pick up some tips.

Also you can start a blog, maybe find a free e-book to give away to get prospects to your list so you can market to them.

Also if you can afford it you need an auto responder to build your own prospect list. That is a must in home business. Do a search on the topic here I think there are already some threads on that subject. [IMG] Best of luck to you, hope I have helped you some.

This is one of the main reasons why most people fail in network marketing. They go through their circle of friends, family, and co-workers and when that list is over with and no one has joined them, they quit.

The fact of the matter is that you need to prospect people you don't know. If you are building your biz offline, you would need to talk to strangers and hopefully get them on board some how.

If you are online, it is a lot easier when you have a squeeze page where people can opt in and get more info and let the system do all the selling for you.

This is how most MLM companies work online.

In the offline world, it is actually much harder to build a business because you have to talk to people, invite them to a meeting, close them, follow up with them by phone, etc....

My product focuses on All natural nutrition, weight loss, and skincare. I love the company that I work for, and the upline does help. My thing is that I don't want to focus on just my town or my state. My group is so popular here that it is hard to find someone who is not already involved. I want to expand worldwide and throughout the US leaving my options very open. I am looking into doing most of my work online since that would be the most convient for me. I am having trouble finding the best routes to reach out to get others online. I hear about these sites that say they will get people for you, but I don't know how reliable that is. Plus I really don't have the money to pay someone else to find people for me. I would rather be able to find people, and develop a working relationship with them. Is there any sites that can help with this.

You have some valuable advices from other members of the forum, but I would also advice you to make the time to strenghten your mindset and learn new skills to attract the prospects you want for your business to be profitable.

In this economy, there are TONS of people with financial problems that are looking for othe ways to make a decent living.

That's a big opportunity for us network marketers.

If you want it bad enough, you'll find to way to make it happen. It all starts with the proper education and the mindset.

You can do it. Good Luck!

I would recommend getting your own marketing capture page and autoresponder to attract people to your business. It is essential for online marketing success.

Yes your own marketing capture page is crucial. You cannot get the kind of success you want online without one. Just using your company replicated site it not good enough.

Also you need to create content- articles, videos, blog posts and a lot of it.

You want your content to answer the questions and solve the problems that people in your target market have. If you want some more resources for figuring this out, message me.

Annalaura is right on in the above post. It will take consistency and commitment.

Also try to track upline and find a good mentor. Someone who has what you want and simply get in contact with them a ask them if they will mentor you.

    Hi,

This is how you get traffic, is not easy at first but once you start no one will stop you.

    1.- Create a capture page
This page will contain little or no information of your product, the page is only to create expectation for the member to add his name an email, then they will get the information.

    2.- Set up an autoresponder
The autoresponder will be located in your capture page, once the member fills his information they will receive letters with information about your product, this is how you follow up with them and create confidence at the same time.

"People join people not companies or products"

    3.- Traffic
This is where a lot of people get stuck, they began to inform about the product to friends or relatives, STOP here, they wont join believe me, it's much easier to create confidence with people that joins you capture page than present the opportunity to friends or relatives, why? well "nobody is prophet in his own land"

There a lot of ways to get traffic listed in this forum, some of them are:

    Google adwords
    Traffic exchanges
    List Builders
    Safelist
    Blogs
    Twitter
Facebook, and the list goes on

What you will have to do is to concentrate on one or two an get all of it, for example, Google adwords, you need to check the ad, setup the keywords and how many you will spend on a daily basis.

Traffic exchanges, don't promote your business on the front, because everybody is promoting there business, why they want to join another one, create a capture page and promote how to get traffic, since that is what everybody is looking for and promote your business on the back end from your autoresponder letters, this is how it's done.

Another thing is to pack it all in one system so the referrals can duplicate.

If you have doubts or comments please send me a private message will be glad to help.

    Best regards

A very common problem Brittany. No worries ...

    1) Offline, you simply need to do your best to talk with people, and use an effective cold market script. Check out networkmarketingpro.com for some examples in the archives.

    2) You could also get your hands on distributor lists from companies that have gone out of business. This requires a financial investment (not very much) but can lead you to other networkers.

    Hope this helps ...

Hello everyone! 1st post here for me. So glad I found this place! What a wealth of information.

Something I can not find, & forgive me if I missed it, how DO you create those squeeze pages, capture pages & auto responders?

There is a lot of good advice here, for sure, but the real potential is when you can actually have several avenues of income coming in. So even if someone says no to your primary program, there is a backup option, usually made up of free information to entice the prospect, in a niche that is really needed. This secondary program can be from anywhere, but I would highly recommend checking out MLSP, since they make it pretty easy. Just check out my link for more info on that.

If you develop a presence on the Internet, with Squidoo, Blogger, and HubPages pages, a website, a personal website, and presences on various forums, then you can get a lot of leads. Also try to take advantage of free advertising credits for PPC programs like AdWords.

Britt27, before you focus on building your downlines or networks, about the products - its not enough that you love them. You have to use each product. You need to become the product of your product. That way its easy to share or recommend to people if your doing the offline marketing.

For online marketing - just like what other people say about online marketing - this is easier and you can get a lot of international prospects but you need to work as well. Its not just you create a website and then BOOM you wait for the money. No, you need to bring traffic to your website, you need to market, you need to convert those traffic into sales or to join your network. There is no automatic here or magic. There is auto responder, auto get information, auto backlinks, etc etc.. but the basic is you also need to promote your business to the people online..

    Hi Britt27,
The best thing to do is decide if you want to sell the Zija products or get distributors. Since you want to get distributors you need to find a profitable niche in your target market. There are some new programs that teach you how to do the right kind of research on finding a niche you would enjoy doing. Create an information product for that niche and market to that niche. Nobody can really be effective without a niche. You'll be speaking only to them and they will appreciate that you're doing everything just for them because you know all about them. You can expand on your niche or products when you need to. Never market a business to a product user or a marketer about a nutritional product. You'll look like you're only out to make a buck.

You also need a good seo website that has the most powerful web host with plugins your upline has distributor rights for. Dont worry though, you can afford it I'm sure. Not expensive at all if you're with the right team. Get the products you want to market on the first page of Google and create backlinks if and when you need them.

That's a start. But it's worth it. Only about 3 percent of network marketers make all the money but if you have the mindset and a real passion to succeed you'll be ahead of all the others that don't do it. You'll forget about all the bumps you've ran over when you make your dream come true. Good luck my friend. I'm also a Zija distributor but I only use the products. I sell my products as a backend opportunity to the right people but I think of it as just another resource to get paid. Got to make sure you never put all your eggs in one basket...right? [IMG]

After a couple of years being in business for myself, I have found that if I don't offer actual value to people, I can completely FORGET enrolling new customers or business builders. And that is the bottom line in business today. If people don't see a clear reason why you are a little different from and better than others, you can basically forget being able to build a long-term, sustainable business.

When I first started working from home, I was really gung ho to find as many customers as I could. I was passionate, loud, and crazy. It took forever (seemingly) to understand that the average person does indeed want to make money from home. But they also want to be able to work with a clear leader who will help them get to where they want to be from day one.

Until we figured out a process that worked and stuck with it, we were completely unsuccessful in home business. We would run from so-called guru to so-called guru, trying to figure out what they were doing until one day it just hit that leaders are leading with value. They are solving problems. They are in business for the long haul. They may have challenging times, but they never, ever give up. For us, home business has been do or die. (not really, but I think you get my point. The point is that there is no Plan B.) When you reach the point that working for yourself IS going to work and there is nothing else that will do for you long-term, you will start to reinvent yourself. You will start to solve problems for others and help them and go out of your way to be a benefit to our industry instead of just wanting to figure out a way to make money from the business...and THAT is when the money starts to come in....when you truly provide solutions for others and help them from the right place.

I am sure that you read this kind of stuff all the time, but because it took me about two years to figure it out, I have to write this way.

Keep at it! You WILL get there if you don't give up. Mike Dillard talks about it and says that the average business owner takes a year to become average, two years to become good, and three to become GREAT! He absolutely told the truth. If you don't give up, I promise you will get there. If I did it with all the cards stacked against me like they were, ANYONE can! lol

    Best to you in business!!

    Sincerely,
    Christi Johnson
