Photoshop is one amongst the most popular and widely used website designing tool. Its compatibility with dream weaver and other such coding software makes it more reliable than else. The newer version like CS4 includes almost everything for a designer to produce good quality website designs. You can easily shift your designs to Flash for to create animated or flash banners as well. The newer versions are also equipped with 3d rendering and animation movies stream features. So, all these quality features makes this software more convinient and extra ordinary for every user for its friendly tool kit.

Photoshop has a lot of excellent features.

Like 'text tool: If you use the text tool effect it is not just an ordinary text you'll see in other graphic tools. It has very rare cool effects, Like drop shadows, stroke, outer and inner glow, bevel and a lot of more!

The filters. Filters has a lot of very uncommon awesome effects. Stylize option that includes: painting, sumi-e, mosaic, texturizer, stamp and a lot of more, The different kinds of blur, The picture lens and a lot of more too. I can't mention it all since my Photoshop is not open.

The Animation window. The best one you doesn't need Adobe Imageready to make an animation. Animation window is built in and easy to use but it's a manual animating too you need to drag and put somewhere to animate, it's easy to use if you read tutorials in the other sites or maybe here at Ciao!

The pen tool It is a great tool to make vector images easier than ever. You may got complicate but it's easy, I tell you.

The lasso tool. It's a great tool in making blends and or whatever you like to cut or crop. Now I already to tell you some features of Photoshop . I apologized that I can't mention all of the features, because my photoshop is not open and it will make my PC kinda slower.

Conclusion

I therefore conclude that Photoshop, is the best designing tool in the universe, and it's easy to use!

Am I imagining things or does it seem like someone is creating multiple accounts here and posting in this thread to get their sig links displayed? Forum abuse? Conspiracy theory? I dunno. Anyone seeing what I'm seeing?

Statcounter - a free website statistics tool. I have used this for several years and have been very pleased with the information it provides. Once you sign up, they provide the code to insert at the end of the pages you want to track. If you're running WordPress, there is a Statcounter plugin that makes it easy to insert the code at the end of each of your website.

GIMP is an open-source tool that is much like Photoshop, and Inkscape is an Illustrator/Fireworks substitute. I have not used these personally, but have heard great things about them.

Inside every FREE StatCounter Account you can set up a StatCounter Project, and with every project you get Project Code + Log Space!

You put your code into your webpage and every time someone visits a webpage......the StatCounter Project code sends valuable information about the visitor back to your log.

i use photoshop for graphics, dreamweaver to slap together the layout and then ultraedit to integrate it into our site templates.
when i am working on css styles and want wysiwyg i use firebug in firefox which lets me edit the css on a live page.

learn html+css, dont rely on some stupid clicky html editor

Hi Dr_Boo

I have a suggestion for you, maybe you can try "Artisteer", you can find on google. This is a good software, very user friendly, and there are many templates that are suitable for newbie.

Kompozer, as others have stated, is probably one of the best free HTML/CSS editors. If you are looking at design and do not have the money to acquire a valid photoshop license, I would highly recommend Gimp. It is a free photoshop-type application. You may also want to download WAMP (Windows/Apache/mySQL/PHP) distribution. It will allow you to do testing without using a web host.
