My family's all around favorite dessert! We only have it occasionally, because it's absolutely too good to leave any for later!

    Apple Dumplings Divine

    2 Granny Smith apples
    2 cans crescent rolls
    2 dashes cinnamon
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    2 sticks melted butter
    2 cups sugar
    2 liter Mountain Dew

Core and peel apples. I use an apple corer that slices them for me.
Place in a microwave safe bowl and cover with paper towel. Microwave for 3-4 minutes.

Roll out crescent rolls while apples are cooking.

Combine cinnamon, vanilla, butter and sugar in microwave safe dish. Cover and microwave 4-5 minutes. Mixture might separate, so just stir it together the best you can after microwaving.

While this mixture is cooking, roll apple slices up in crescent rolls. Place 1 slice on the big end and roll up. If I have any apple left over, I stuff as much as I can get in the rolls.

Place rolls in a 9X13 baking pan.

Stir cooked sugar mixture and pour over rolls.

Slowly pour Mountain Dew over until everything's covered. I cover mine with about 1/2 inch of Mt Dew.

Bake at 350ยบ for 30 minutes. Cover with foil and bake an additional 5 minutes.
