Best Motivational Tip for Writing Articles

Let's face it, writing articles can be a real drag! Combine this with the fact that most niches need more than 10 articles to be written and it can become a nightmare....

So, what motivational tips have you got for keeping on writing long after the first flush of enthusiasm goes?

My best two are;

Do not finish the day by finishing an article
When you are 'in the zone' leave an article unfinished for tomorrow, this will get you back into the zone way faster tomorrow.

Don't stress too much on keyword analysis;
Once you have the first 10 just get a notepad of about 50 more and keep writing using these as your keyword inspirations.

I like the first one. The main reason I don't do organic anymore is that I don't like writing. I'll try it and see.

It is also easier to write about topics that your are interested in. I have also used virtual assistants to write articles for me. Once I found a good VA, I discovered that they could write better articles then I could!

It might be a great idea on paper to have hemorrhoid cures as your chosen niche - but jeeeez writing 100 articles about them....

I always get an original article written for me about a broad topic and then I re-write the article according to the keyword I am targeting.

 

I really think that if you don't write a lot of article in a less competitive niche, you will probably waste your time doing this.

I really believe that PAID advertising is the best way to go if you want more traffic and more sales.

I really find that hard to believe!
There is nothing better than free advertising.
Ask any brick and mortar business about word of mouth.
Multiply that by 100 for internet word of mouth.

If an article is a hit with ONE person who tells 100 more....
And it doesn't have to be "on target" to your main market even.
My most popular articles have nothing to do with anything I market,
yet they bring visitors who check out what else I have to say or sell.

Just because it's free doesn't make it worth less.

Oh, and my tip is to use an outline to work from.
Each item can be spun into a separate article.

AND to add to what Just2EZ said, even if you wanted to go paid the #1 search engine really doesn't want your affiliate business.

2 of my 3 niches are 'undesirable' by Google's standards and they have nothing to do with porn, gambling, supplements or any illegal activity. I have been told that they will never accept my sites for PPC simply because of this, regardless of site quality.

I am not going to continue to waste my time, effort and money at this stage with Yahoo/Bing/MSN whatever they want to call themselves until I get better traffic from them and the majority of PPV sites are a bloody great scam.

I don't think article marketers such as Tim Gorman, Josh Spaulding, Steven Wagenheim, Fabian Tan, Lance Winslow and many more would agree.

I have just purchased Tim Gorman's 'ArticleMarketingSoldiers' course to take my article marketing to the next level. This is undoubtedly the bible of article marketing written by an article marketing expert.

If you really want to excell in article marketing I highly recommend this course.

 

Call me strange but i actually enjoy writing articles, it's a great way to express my knowledge online, and at the same time to build traffic to my websites. I highly recommend article marketing as a way to increase web traffic to any online business, as once you have a good knowledge about a certain subject, you can then write new articles one after the other easily. If your knowledge is limited though, then you could quite simply rewrite the articles you have written, and give them a new title and different wording in the article body. That way they will be appear quite unique and quickly gain a good position in search engine results.

 

Article writing is a drag, but I would have to say that organic is still the way to go.

Article writing can be time consuming yes, but at the same time very rewarding. I love to write about subjects that i'm interested in.

If i don't know enough about a certain subject, that i want to write about, then i'll just do some research to further my knowledge.

Once you get into the swing of things and start writing articles often, you'll find that you will be able to churn out articles so much faster and easier.

 

That first poinjt is great. I have always been the type to keep at it when I'm on a roll. It always feels nice to get it completed. However, leaving until the next day is a great idea.

I wish I had a next day on my assignments at uni, it was always get it done or fail. Damn procrastination.

 

Article writing, like any other traffic-getting strategy, should be viewed as one tiny slice of the marketing pie. It has its place and does make a contribution. Remember, it's the sum total of ALL your marketing efforts that delivers the goods.

An article gives people a peek into your knowledge of a subject, and the way you convey that knowledge makes an impression (one way or the other) on the reader. I still get traffic from articles I had written more than 6 years ago and had completely forgotten about.

I do admit the writing process can be trying sometimes. I never force myself to write. I do it only when I'm in the mood. There are times when I get a flash of inspiration and can knock out an article in minutes. At other times I can struggle for hours over a single paragraph.

When that happens I'll put it away and get back to it later.

In the interim I'll console myself with the assurance that once the article is published, I'll never have to write it again, and it will live in cyberspace forever... and bring viewers to wherever the links direct them, for free!

Just do it! Don't think about it just let it flow naturally.
On the other hand, posting other peoples articles works too.
This month my highest ranking article was by someone else.
Still get lots of hits on my own but I post good articles by others.
One of my sites is almost exclusively written by 3rd parties.
Providing information that readers want is the name of the game.
Doesn't have to be your own creation as long as it's on your site.
The object is to provide what people are looking for.
You can be an expert researcher instead of writer.

Very true!

That concept lies at the heart of content curation which has been getting a lot more attention lately. Seems you can get greater leverage using this method, compared to article writing, and avoid much of the negative fallout that usually accompanies a Google Slap.

Blog curation is hot and it can be highly engaging and provide real value to your blog visitors instead of plain simple text articles. Make it more of media contents.

This is where I differ, I guess. I have a passion for writing, and LOVE writing about nearly any topic, which is a good thing since I am primarily an SEO content writer for individual clients with online businesses and SEO firms.

Sure, there are days my brain doesn't seem to "engage" as readily as other days, but they're few and far between, thank goodness

My passion for writing also helps me tremendously with my blogging and affiliate marketing business. Glad I like to write, I can save a substantial amount of money on paid advertising
