    What has been the best piece of advice you have been given on the topic of success?

    I'll go first. My best advice that I have been given is real simple...and that's to never give up - to keep pushing forward because you never know when you will hit a gold mine.

    Now your turn!

    “Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence.
    Inaction is not only the result, but the cause of fear.
    Perhaps the action you take will be successful;
    perhaps different action or adjustments will have to follow.
    But any action is better than no action at all. “

    Right on the money Kevin.
    Napoleon Hill foundation published a book last year called "Think and Grow Rich - Three Feet From Gold" by Greg Reid,
    based on the story Napoleon Hill tells in "Think and Grow Rich" about R.U. Darby, the man who sold his gold mine to a junk dealer. Turns out he was only 3 feet from a major vein when he quit.
    Greg interviewed a lot of modern day business leaders to find out their secret to success.
    Their secret was, never give up, you may only be 3 feet from gold.

    The most profound bit of advice for true success I ever got
    came in the form of a poem by Rudyard Kipling entitled...

    IF

    If you can keep your head when all about you
    Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
    If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
    But make allowance for their doubting too;
    If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
    Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
    Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
    And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

    If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
    If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
    If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
    And treat those two impostors just the same;
    If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
    Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
    Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
    And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:

    If you can make one heap of all your winnings
    And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
    And lose, and start again at your beginnings
    And never breathe a word about your loss;
    If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
    To serve your turn long after they are gone,
    And so hold on when there is nothing in you
    Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’

    If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
    Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
    If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
    If all men count with you, but none too much;
    If you can fill the unforgiving minute
    With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
    Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
    And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

    I think the best advice I got was from my Dad when I was young. Anything worth having in life takes hard work.

    If you keep working and trying new things, you can be successful. :)

    Do not let the heart pains disturb your mindset. And do not chase success, work for it.

    My advice is to focus on your target.
    Choose high goals and work hard to reach them.
    Stop wasting time with the TV, if you waste hours in the present.
    Use facebook to keep up with friends, but don't loose hours of your precious time with it.

    Kevin, That is good advice. I would give anyone who reads this the first rule of success; Find something that works and do it over and over again! Coupled with your advice that would be a winning formula!

    When I started I had people (my wife) saying it is crazy to do online blogging. I guess it is because how much money I have spent in the past. I continued to do it (only when she was not watching) and with my determination it became successful, but boy did I want to quit.

    Don't be afraid to fail. Everyone who has been successful in life has failed more times than they have succeeded. The world is full of statues of men who made mistakes.

    And when you do fail, get back up, dust yourself off and try again!

    Also, try to do the right thing at all times. Why?

    Because it is the right thing to do.

    Here is the DONT's list to be more successful:
      1. DON'T set up an autoresponder or canned text for replying to team members who've contacted you. Doing so is a MAJOR turn-off and is absolutely counter to how you achieve success. Duplication and big commissions are built on the creation and maintaining of good, strong relationships with your team members. You cannot build a relationship by ignoring someone or substituting the personal touch with automation.

      1. DON'T twist people's arms about "upgrading". Do this and you may actually get the OPPOSITE result! Learn what you SHOULD be emphasizing.

      1. DON'T do actions that you don't want your downline to emulate. Remember your downline follows your lead good OR bad! If your downline gets the impression that YOU do nothing, they'll likely do the same...NOTHING.

      1. DON'T set up a support Website for your team unless you are prepared to keep it up to date.

      1. DON'T be sloppy and unprofessional in your communications with your team members. Leaders get the details right.

      1. DON'T major in minors.

      1. DON'T do things for your affiliates that they should do themselves—or you will create "cripples."

    1. DON'T waste your time on skeptics and non-motivated people. You can only provide the track for them to run on. You cannot drag people across the finish line. They have to want it for themselves. Always focus on the workers.

    Here's some from me to you; Believe in yourself! Before we started our site we were told it couldn't succeed by some online guru's, now we call it "Affilipede, the site that couldn't succeed but does"
  18. I agree... If you want to succeed you must never give up and you must believe in yourself.

    Here's just a few things I believe is part of the recipe to success.

    1.) Never Give Up
    2.) Always believe in yourself
    3.) Work smart and work hard
    4.) Push yourself
    5.) Sometimes you need to step outside of your comfort zone
    6.) Think positive no matter what
    7.) Surround yourself with success driven and positive people
    8.) Find the right mentor (find someone who is successful and has the same values as you do in your niche or business)
    9.) When you hit a wall or road block break it down and tackle it piece by piece then push through it and conquer it.
    10.) Set goals for yourself. (Set short and long term goals)

    Hope this helps!!! :)

    Here is a quote of my own that I use sometimes to remind me to stay focused; "Plan your work, and work your plan" it seems like a simple thing, but life is full of distractions.
