Something I always tell people when I introduce them to my "home business" is to do your research. This is important. There are so many businesses out there that will bleed you dry. They might pay you a little here and there, but for the most part youre losing money. I am a firm believer in the fact you have to spend money to make money, however, there is also a limit. Do some research on the companies you are considering getting involved with. Look for things like how long they have been in business. Lots of these companies will get shut down and open back up a year later as a different entity. If you are doing the Direct Sales, look into whether the company is actually a member of the Direct Sales Assoc. They do a pretty thorough check on companies before allowing them to be members. Also, you have the one everyone knows, the BBB. Whats their rating? I said this in a prior post and I'll say it again. If I'm going to dedicate my time, money and personal reputation for a company, I'm going to be very sure the company is reputable. I am very fortunate to be a part of a national company who not only has a A+ BBB rating, but is also a member of the US Chamber of Commerce, D&B, as well as the DSA. They have been in business for 17+ years and are 100% debt free. These things were a selling point for me when I was doing my research. Have I made money doing it? Definitely! I spent money initially when I first joined up with them and within weeks I doubled what I paid plus some. I was able to quit my 9-5 and do this full time, which is more like part time. So yes, you can make money. Just dont lose faith. Most importantly, have faith in what you are doing.
