I've been away for a little while, but every time I come back here to give some "value" I always see the same old questions... And I always see the same type of responses that usually are misleading! If your new or struggling I'm going to give you some pointers on building your business the right way! Tip #1 Start focusing on yourself instead of THE NEXT BEST OPPORTUNITY! or your own opportunity/product What do I mean by that? What I mean is, start focusing on branding "YOU" and becoming a leader by gaining knowledge from other "current" leaders that are giving away value that is helping others build their businesses.... Pretty much every leader does this in the first place. You'll never see a leader come across as a pitchy salesperson! They focus on helping others first! You can do the same even if your completely new! Here's how: If you don't have a blog/website, get involved with a company that provides one or get one created! Find 5 Top leaders or earners in the industry and pay attention to what they share on their blog... Learn what they teach or talk about, implement it yourself, and share it in your own way! Now what does this do? Well if you stay "CONSISTENT" and continue to take "ACTION" you will start to gain momentum and a following of people that like, know, and trust you... Always remember.. People Join People, Not Opportunities! Tip #2 If your totally new, and you don't have a massive budget for advertising, I highly suggest: If your a technophobe - leverage a company blogging platform... There's actual opportunities out there that have customizable blogging websites that you can brand yourself! Leverage a system that gives value for you to share, training for you to use, and a way for you to make profits if people don't join your opportunity... This is real automation and time freedom... If you implement all the things I've shared above you will definitely be wayyy ahead of the game and build a great foundation for your business! To your unlimited success,

That's good advice which i share the same view. We all come across as a pitchy salesperson when we started networking but i think some of us have learned to help first like you said. I learned this way and its paying off. Learn , help , take action. Invest in yourself by learning and the rest will follow.

Great responses everybody! I'm telling you right now, or I guess I mean anyone that is new to the industry if your not paying attention to myself and others are saying on here then your really missing the big picture and you don't deserve to have a successful home based online business.
All good advice for building a brand in yourself, but what if you're after "Now - Today - Earn A Living" money? Here's where you can really see the difference in approaches. Look at what Pepsi & Coke do in their advertising versus what a local company does to communicate with the market. Pepsi and Coke do "general awareness" type ads. Think "Blogging" and posting on Social Media with just "information" --- value laden or otherwise. Local companies looking to generate SALES .... not just "awareness" in the hopes of getting someone in the doors, are very specific with offers, ads that give specific reasons to come ... TODAY and talk with them. How does that translate to your "home business" here? Easy. Do the blogging. Do the research into what the more experienced people are doing that you want to emulate. But unless you want income coming in sooner than the time it will take to see your grandchildren grow up, you'd better also be learning other skills ... like talking to people. Approaching people face to face. Calling leads. Making "sales" (think reruiting a business builder). And anyone that tells you that stuff isn't necessary any more with today's new "techno tools" --- I would challenge them to show me a NEW person with NO LIST and NO BUDGET and NO SKILLS, bought into their program and within a year, is earning 5 figures monthly now and also didn't talk to people. Success in MLM / Network Marketing is now, always has been and always will be ... a people - communicating with people - skill driven businesss. The cool part? It's EASY when you have the right information, right perspective, correct expectations and you're not "desparately broke" to where you really need a job FIRST to support your life while you're building and don't have that job already. Okay .. not a popular story if someone is looking for the easy way out, but in this case, the truth truly does set you free. Find a mentor that will tell you the truth, has been there, done that and is willing to work with you. Then you've got something.
