Generally reading up on sites in hear is good as there is a fair amount of exposure to different work from home idea's in this forum. I definitely would talk to a few people before getting started on any one program. Welcome to the forum.
It depends on your product. If it is priced competitively and of good quality, it is likely to succeed

Prices don't mean it's worth the cost on the product/service. Whether what you're offering is cheaper may be more appealing, but is it as good as your competitors? I started a business/company of my own a couple years ago with my own information products. It didn't work out too well as the value was very low compared to others. Having a professional website will also make the difference in your business.
