Any thoughts on the long term continued use of these shakes in my diet. I used the shakes for 90 days, twice a day, and dropped about 25 lbs I really like them, and still usually drink 2 shakes a day during the weekdays, and eat what I want on the weekends. I have managed to keep the weight off but curious if its too much of good thing Any thoughts on other meal replacement shakes to use instead? Let the debate begin
I have used them too, but didn't like that they had artificial sweeteners, soy and whey as for long term weight management, our bodies actually store all that artificial stuff in our fat cells, and soy messes with the hormones so when Natures Pearl came out with their plant based protein shakes with no artificial flavors or sweeteners, I was pretty ecstatic. I still feel that for long term weight management one needs to change eating habits along with taking a good protein shake. Getting enough protein on a daily basis actually helps to keep the metabolism burner in gear and if we can get a handle on the sugar load... ( sugars, starches, carbs, etc) ... we are in for a great new lifestyle!
I use Isagenix and I love it. Their shakes use whey protein sourced from "happy" cows in New Zealand. I've never felt so good in my life. The products are all natural and are scientifically proven. An independent study by Skidmore College found that Isagenix users lost 4x more fat, added 4x more lean muscle, increased their metabolic pace TWICE as much, and released 3x more toxins than those on a "healthy-heart" diet. I am a product of the product, and just by sharing with others and helping them get healthy, I'm making REALLY good money...not to mention increasing my teams wealth as well. Who doesn't want to be healthy?
I'm not sure about long term use but I did use Vi shakes myself a few years back and lost 55lbs. They worked great for me. I used them over a 6 month period with no problems. But I would not base my diet around any type of shake. They should be used to supplement good eating habits. That's the key to long term success with weight loss.
