    What do you specialize in?
    Informational products and digital tools.

What do you have to do on a typical day?
It depends on what the priority is that day, but my actvities include (not necessarily in this order):

    * Checking/Analyzing Stats - Reviewing data on sales, page views, unique visitors, etc.,
    * Marketing and Promotion - writing articles, blog/forum posts, rolling out ad campaigns, etc.,
    * Web Design - creating new web sites, blogs, lenses and/or adding content to existing properties.
    * Graphic Design - creating banners and other advertising pieces.
    * Product Creation/Selection - developing and/or locating info products and useful tools.
    * Email - reading, responding and sending.
    * Tutorial - Learning at least one new thing, or adding to my knowledge base in some way.

How is your job related to the law?
I operate within the guidelines required by law.

What are the educational requirements to become a small business owner?
You don't need to have an academic or technical degree (although it might help), but you do need to know and understand your particular market, its needs, and how to deliver solutions efficiently and economically.

Why did you become a small business owner?
To have greater control and flexibility in carving out my future.

How long have you been one?
    More than 10 years.

What do you enjoy about being a small business owner?
The satisfaction of seeing a plan come together and the freedom to enjoy the benefits.

    Hermas
  5. What do you specialise in? My advice is do something you're passionate about, something you 'live for' and surround yourself with other people who can specialise in your weak areas and outsource your 'weaknesses'. Why do you become a small business owner? It is to own a business and not a job that owns you. I discovered how to by following 10 small business principles, I found through internet business coach Terry Dean. He is one of the few guys who offers ethical advice and principles. Look him up on the net.

Out of all the questions you asked the one about Education piqued my interest the most. Thanks for such an interesting forum thread by the way, asking a variety of questions like that tends to lead towards informative conversation [IMG]

Education, while not a requirement by degree standards when working certain facets of the Work At Home umbrella. However small business also entails a variety of industries such as Medical Billing, Accounting and Legal Issues that may require formal training to pursue.

However I do believe most of us here participate in a more open sector of the Work At Home field: marketing. While a degree isn't necessary, I can't stress how important its been for me to study both the Industry and the Principles its based on.

Understanding how to properly Market your products, how to manage a team and how to stay competitive are the ABC's of marketing online. They are crucial to your business, and the tenets of maintaining them can be learned by studying the success of people like A.L. Williams for example.

We always encourage new team members to get familiar with either their local library or Barnes n Nobles because we recommend a lot of reading.

Sorry for such a long post- that's why i only answered one ? [IMG]

Read and Listen to self made millionaires. Know that any challenges can be overcome and that they too shall pass.

Success awaits, but the barriers to the gateway is a road many don't work hard enough and long enough to surpass.

Your mental fortitude will be your greatest alli for success.

Recently I came across a company that deals in business analytical tools. Business scoreboard and business analyzer tools of this company are really helpful to boost the sales surprisingly. Business owners can use these tools and may also ask the company to prepare comprehensive reports to interpret results of existing strategies.

For making my small home based business plans, I use low cost business tools that are available even at free of cost. I feel more confident after using business benchmarking tools.
