I signed up for USANA and ordered the products. I can't wait to try them as they seem to get be getting good reviews online. If they do a good job and if I am happy with them, I would like to distribute them.

Can someone give me some tips, advice etc? Also, is USANA a good product? From my online reviews and two people that I know their vitamins seem to be the best out there.

Thanks.

I have a friend who is a USANA affiliate and she swears by their Essentials products. She tells me she has more energy and feels mentally sharper ever since she started using them. It has been several months already.

The company seems to enjoy a healthy reputation.

I was dragged along to a USANA presentation a couple of years ago. I didn't sign up because I thought the products were way too expensive. I just had a tough time saying the vitamins were 3 times better (more expensive) than what I was taking.

Overall the products are good and the company doesn't have a terrible reputation, you could do worse. I do know a couple of people who make decent money as USANA reps.

Thank you for your replies.

I've read through a lot of the info on the boards and I would like to say that I am not looking for a rich quick scheme and I hate bugging friends and relatives to buy products or join a network. I had relatives that did this to me a few years ago with Amway and I hated it. I also know that YOU are the product and that if you look healthy, vibrant and fit, people notice (you need to promote yourself though with pics etc) and they contact you for recommendations. I have had people come to me about product recommendations and I have asked other people their opinions about products. So I figured, I might as well get paid for it BUT the most important thing is that I have to believe in the product first.

I lost my full time job in February and have been doing some temp work when I came across Law of Attraction. I beleive in it. I was on facebook and noticed a lot of people doing MLM who subscribe to the Law of Attraction. I contacted a holistic nurse who was selling and recruiting for USANA. I did some research on the product and it was consistently getting good reviews online and a personal trainer and someone in the fitness industry recommended it as well. So I figured let me give it a try.

At this point in my life, at 34, with no permanent job, something was telling me that I have to start something of my own. There is no way you can make the money you want if you work for someone else. I also stay away from anything that sounds too good to be true and I hate misleading people.

This USANA thing may or not work. If it does, fine, and if it doesn't it will be a learning experience for me - albeit a $600 learning experience. But I figured, if you are going to start a business, you need to put in time, money and effort anyways. I am going to take this as a learning opportunity. I've always wanted to start a business (but never knew what) and this experience will help me get my feet wet. In the process, if I end up with an amazing product that will help me and other people, that's fine as well. I am not seeing USANA as a be all, end all.

I think your reputation is everything and I don't want a bit of money and a bad product to ruin my reputation. I am hoping to do big things with my life, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that USANA is a starting point for me.

The products are on their way and I will post a review once I try them.

A few things that I want to do to "market" myself and the product:

- start a health & wellness facebook group and/or blog
- do before and afters - once a week on my facebook page. I keep telling my friends that I am hoping to lose weight and get healthy, so if they visually see me getting healthy, they may ask what I am doing and I can steer the conversation towards USANA

I used to feel that way as well. I was taking a lot of the drug store and natural health food store vitamins and they never made a difference. I then met a naturopathy student and she was not selling supplements or vitamins but she passed me her course book which was a book written on all the vitamins and supplements out there and how they ranked. I went through the list and found Truestar Health. They were #4 or #5 I beleive and I ordered the vitamins. The only reason I didn't order #1 to #3 was because they were even more expensive. The monthly pack came out to about $100 per month and they were the best vitamins I ever tried!! I could feel a difference in a week. I noticed one day that I had more energy than before and the for the life of me couldn't figure out what I was doing differently, and then it hit me, I was taking Truestar health vitamins. It was too expensive for me to continue and as soon as I stopped taking them, I went back to my "old" self again. Whenever someone asks me about vitamins, I tell them my story and ask them to give Truestar health a try.

I don't work for Truestar, so this is my personal opinion and for me personally, the higher grade vitamins make a huge difference.

The truth of the matter is that most of the vitamins marketed by mlm companies are WAY superior to the mainstream stuff...

They are normally more expensive and the reason for that is, of course , because it IS mlm and is set up for people to feel good and make money with it...Good luck.

Thank you. I am going to try my best with it and let's see how it goes. But one thing for sure, I won't go back to my drug store and natural health food store vitamins.
