I've started my own aStore and it seems to be working pretty well.
Does anyone else have an aStore? And if so, how is it doing?

I just started researching aStore. I also spent some time researching at ezinearticles. Sound interesting, I'm hoping you will keep us posted as to how it is going.

One thing about Amazon which I just found out is that they only have a one day tracking cookie, which means that if someone finds Amazon through your website today, but decides to make a purchase two days from now, you WILL NOT get credit for the sale. So, I'd be very careful about sending PPC traffic to your store and I'd try to optimize it for SEO.

I have just started a E-store & that's what I've noticed about Amazon as well however I think you can still view your monthly income.

I've had an on/off relationship with Amazon for a while now. It seems that when I make an effort to push things, I don't really see any returns (maybe that's down to the 1-day-cookie that getagrip talked about!).

The most success was with a dormant site that I had that I was doing NO marketing for, but which had nothing but a functioning Amazon search button on the home page. I've no idea why, but one day, I ended up doing a whole load of business through that link, then nothing since! Someone obviously found it by accident and decided to use it as a shortcut to Amazon!

As to the original point (aStores) I've created a few and hung them off one of my sites but I'm not putting much effort into targeting them until I get the rest of the site optimized. I'm certainly not spending money to promote them!

Still, it's early days for me with my online businesses, so I'll keep persevering with them and see what happens! I'd be very interested to hear from anyone who's making a significant income just from Amazon....

I've always wondered if Amazon associates was a waste of time or not.

My reasoning was that whenever I want to buy something from Amazon, I normally just go straight to their site, so don't other people do the same thing?

If someone is making serious money from this, I'd love to hear about it....
