hi everyone, I am really confused about how to give these vacations away. I am about the fill out the Carnival Cruise reservation request coupon and it is asking for the travellers name....I don't know who that is going to be yet. So I'll put my name on it, but then, when I give it away...will that cause a problem?

Second question: Is one of these cards good for domestic airfare?

third: how do I get discount hotel rates for my family whhen I am not with them? Don't I need to be there to present my membership card?

fourth: I still don't know how to attach my signature here LOL

Hi Susan,
If you must put a name on the form, put your own because you can change it later; what you'll get back is the travel glossy, that's the important part where the phone numbers are to book the trip....try your airfare card, yes I believe it's good for domestic travel, it doesn't work for us Canucks though.....you may have to give them your hotel membership card, clear it with the hotel you're booking with first....go to "Preferences" at the top of this screen, you'll see how to put your signature link on, easy peasy.

Hi everyone--I just sent away for the voucher for the Carnival "fun ships" 3 day cruise. Has anyone gone on this before? This will be my first coastal travel experience, and since I live in Florida, it is an easy trip to either Port Canaveral or Miami. Any comments would be appreciated. I have traveled alot, but never cruised. More important is using the trip, so I can tell everyone about it!
Happy Easter!

I sent the voucher to book my 3 night/2day Vegas trip for a grand total of $22.75 for the full three nights. We haven't booked it yet so I don't know which hotels are on offer but I also sent for the $500 in Casino chips/discounted meals etc and just got them recently.

My wife and I look forward to using it, but to be quite frank I think we might use the Condo stay instead because we have a five year old and want to have more of a selection.....to be continued. I think there's another post cgmom from someone who's returned from using this voucher.

When you book the Walt Disney World Vacation, do you get to choose from the hotels that surround the themepark or does this require a huge "upgrade" fee? Just wondering if the complimentary lodging means hotels that are miles from the themepark.

Roger, if you find out what hotels are offered on the Vegas trip, could you please post that?

I'm still fairly new to Coastal and would like to know experiences with hotels that come with various vacations like Vegas and Disney World. I know the hotels are 3-5 star quality, but that may not mean close to the Vegas strip or a particular themepark.

Thanks,
Jen

Hi there,

When you're logged in just click "preferences" at the top. This is where you'll see a box with "Website URL (Signature)". Just type in your website link, hit "edit preferences" at the bottom of the page, and you're good to go!

Does anyone here work with CSG Group and have a number to contact them about some of the bonus vacations that have been removed. I would hate to order another one that I can't use, like the Bahama Fly & stays that are no longer valid. They want you to pay to upgrade on the trip but if I'm donating a trip that people don't want to pay for then I don't want to order the wrong one again. I know what I need is the phone number to N.B. Mangement in Kissimmee,FL the shipping office. If anyone could help I would really appreicate it.

The number for N.B. Management is 1-800-283-1526 - expect about a week for them to return your call after you leave your message. For future reference, it is listed on the "thank you" sheet that comes with your glossy when you activate a voucher.

Can you tell us about your experience with the voucher? What upgrades were they asking for?

All the cards lead you to look on one website.
I thought there are different websites per card.
Anyone else have that or is that a mistake on my cards?
L1 package.

Terri,

There is a group of cards that are all linked to "Access" : Recreation, Hotel, Golf, Dining & Ski- these will lead you to the same site, but it still offers discounts in all of those categories.

For those of you who haven't yet used the Access cards, they are great!

Quest and ACN (camping) will lead you to different resources. The Condo card will link you to several booking avenues depending on whether you choose to phone or visit the website. I haven't used the cruise, tour or travel cards yet, but I'm sure that they will give different options depending on what you're looking for. And then the Unlimited Travel Services card brings you to the Coastal site with it's different booking choices.

That's my experience so far...

When I called to ask about the upgrade I was told that it is thru Funtime Vacations and it would be an extra charge of $100 to $200 per person depending on where I went and for how long. If I'm giving these trips away as gifts I don't want people to have to pay for them when the say only a small processing fee & room tax. Also like most others that called Funtime I also got the come work with us pitch but she never bad mouthed Coastal all she said is that the vendors we work with make it very hard for people to actually get the free vacation, she said they make it so hard that people just give up so that the company doesn't have to honour the voucher. I can't see how we could stay in business if that was really the case but I know that so far one couple couldn't get the dates they wanted with one vendor so I'll try another vendor instead but since it's a Canadian location there are only 2 to pick from.

Sounds to me like Funtime is making it difficult for you. I have never heard of the extra charge. Whenever possible, you can send the voucher back and request another vendor at no extra cost. Dates are never guaranteed, however if you can give the vendor a few choices, they can usually accommodate. It is my understanding that if you were giving vacations away, the Condos are a good choice as well as some of the vacations that have a higher activation fee. You can also listen to the product training call on Thursdays and there is a Q&A so you can ask questions there.
