Hi everyone!

I sent off for my vouchers for one of the trips and was just curious how long after you send the form in, do you typically get your vouchers so you can schedule the trip? Thanks in advance!

Give it a few more days. Normally, I receive materials from the shipping center within a couple of days. There was one time, though, that it took nearly two weeks. A busy period, maybe? I'm not sure.

If for some reason you don't get what you asked for, then first call the shipping center. After that, if you still have a problem, I'd suggest making an additional request in writing.

Don't forget, we are depending on the most unreliable form of delivery, the U S Post Office. I sent Hoyt a check one time by priority mail that is supposed to be there in 3 days max and it took almost 2 weeks. I have done everything overnight ever since then.

Thanks for the info. That makes me feel better. Where do I find the number for the shipping center?

Harold makes an excellent point. I bought a game on eBay for my son in December. The seller (100% positive feedback for years) shipped it with a confirmation # that showed DELIVERED within three days. I never received it until last week - 4 months later!!!! Obviously, the fault of the USPS.

However, when I sent my request for the Coastal updates two weeks ago, I received them within a week. So, I think you shouldn't worry too much...

Oh, the number for the shipping center is: 1-800-283-1526. Your upline (or group) should have this information for you also

Call and leave a message. It may take them as long as a week to reply, though.

My experince w/shipping center is that they slow, not returning calls at all. Now they raised shipping cost to flat rate $25.00... It still took 10 days to get package, with paying premium for S&H.

I wish they open another shipping center, would make it better and faster.

Aren't they going to set up a system where we can order the vacations and pay the shipping for them online sometime soon? Or did I just dream this?

Also, if I am sending in for more than 1 vacation, do I have to send individual cashier's checks/money orders or can I combine it all into one check?

Thanks,
Jen

Hi Jen,

I don't know about the online ordering (although sometimes the glossies have that option when you get them back), but I have combined the totals into one money order when activating the certificates with no problems.

Hi there, please could you remind me how the vouchers work?
I want to give my friend a bahamas fly & stay vacation. So what must i do? I give her the voucher? she sends in the 6.95? Or do I do that? and what happens next?
Thanks so much

Well, the best way is to activate them yourself - then you can give your friend the glossy while keeping your membership number private.

But, in case you haven't been told this, the Fly & Stays are no longer valid due to problems with the vendor. What you will probably get back when you activate that vacation is a Cruise & Stay.

oh wow, thanks for pointing that out Savvy, So if we put in for a cruise and stay, do they have to cover airfare themselves to the port of departure city?

Yes, unless they happen to live near the port and are close enough to drive.

Doesn't it seem like the shipping center should do a better job than this? When I first signed up with Coastal it took me over two weeks to get my package, I paid 25.00 for FedEx and they shipped it by mail? Then you have to mail in the paper for the voucher which is understandable, but they should do I better job at turn around, that is all I am saying. I think if we could order the trips online, that would be great!!

Does it make a difference if you mailed in a copy of the vacation form instead of the actual color form? It says right on there to make copies for future use. I was wondering if this could be the hold up?

Well, I have to agree with you that the system seems a bit antiquated. I noted with amusement in one of Jeff Mill's posts that he mentioned he tried to get the BOD to upgrade their tools, but they wouldn't do it.

If it were up to me, Coastal would have a centralized Q&A center for members, online ordering/package information and fast turnaround. But, I'm not on the BOD.

I doubt it makes a difference whether it's a copy or not. For my retail package, I actually redesigned the vouchers to look completely different, and I still get the glossies sent without any problems...

I think it would be great if we had a website to order vouchers from. It seems it would make it easier for the people at the shipping center also. Perhaps that will be coming in the future. My guess is that the reason they don't go ahead with this is because it would raise the price of the package or require a monthly fee on top of what people are already paying for COA sites or whatever site you use. I would be delighted to pay a fee to have the ability to book on the web but with all of that said, Coastal is still, by far the best vacation membership and small business in the industry. Is it worth filling in the voucher and mailing a money order for $6.95 to be able to spend the weekend in Gatlinburg for less than $50 or is it worth going through the motions getting burn weeks that will let you stay 7 days at a 4 or 5 star condo resort within site of Disney World for less than $300? You bet it is. The web booking will get here someday. I'll be just fine until it does.

I don't think it makes a difference whether you sent in the actual form or just copied it.

Something I want to share with you all about vouchers. On another forum jealous competitors mentioned that vouchers can be purchased and mentioned a few websites.

I went to one of the websites and guess what? To purchase a voucher to go to JUST ONE place for vacation, (Coastal has over 30 vouchers for DIFFERENT vacations in the package) costs about
$15-to-$20 PER VOUCHER and the MINIMUM order is 100!!
Folks that's $1500 for just one type voucher!!!

WE at COASTAL are offering 30 different vouchers PLUS 20 different cards, cruises and vacations for $1295!!!!!!

So if anyone ever asks again if the Coastal package is worth it....I think I just gave a very good answer to that objection!

Terri,

That is an excellent point to bring up (I think I know which forum you're talking about, LOL, and the main person who keeps posting). In fact, one of the best things to promote when selling B2B is that very thing you mention. Yes, you can purchase some of these incentives elsewhere, but in all cases you must spend a minimum order - as you point out for just ONE voucher.

Not only that, but all of those vouchers are only valid for a period of a year - not LIFETIME like Coastal!

So where's the value? I think we all know

I just want to make sure that no one took my message the wrong way; I love the packages and everything, I just feel like the shipping is slow. I hope that they do allow you to order the vouchers online as this would expedite the process. That's all no biggie!

Can one of the you pm me the website that you all are referring to? Thanks in advance!

THe BOD system is antiquated, which is why so many teams and systems popped up to "support" people.

Ordering online might not be such a big deal, you'll still have to pay via a money order or check. That part of Coastal have never changed. They only take good money and credit card systems, are still 1000 years away from the BOD for taking payments. Why? THey are scared of fraud, but that is what you get with a business. Almost all good and then very little bad, and the good always overshadows the bad orders and pays for itself 1000 times over.

The BOD is slow to change, but they do change, look at all the changes in the last 3 years, there are many many positives.

But, somethings, like shipping, you can't fight it, just work within their system, and it all gets taken care of eventually.

Someday it may morph and change, and that's the way it is.

Come Saturday.... the WCYS call center will have a better solution.

Stand by for a big announcement next week.

Jeff

ok, I got the brochures now for the Vegas trip and have two questions... 1. I heard that I can call the number on the brochure to make the actual reservations instead of mailing in the brochure, is the true?
2. The voucher says hotel and 500 cash, chips, etc but the brochure says either/or. However, there is another paper that says 500 cash, chips, etc and to mail it in to redeem. So could someone clairify this for me? I would really appreciate it!

Thanks!

I think I received the same vouchers that you are talking about when I sent the form in a while back.

If I remember correctly, I mailed the processing fee for both (one money order written to the same company) and got a coupon booklet for the chips, etc. and a glossy for the stay which gives a private website for booking as well as a phone number.

Since these terms are available according to the brochure, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to book your stay via phone...

Thanks a lot! There was no website address on the glossy but there was a phone number. I will try on Monday!
