Hello all,

I am now running on a small budget, and have been looking for other marketing ideas outside of leads and pay per click.....I started some classifieds, and some posters with no luck so far....

I heard that people have had "Vacation Parties" kind of like tupperware party idea - I am not really big on this - any one have any ideas of how to do it?

I was thinking about offering some vacations, and basically showing them the package.

What I need is how to present it, what to say, what to give to them....that sort of thing

Any assistance would be great.....thanks in advance.

Hi Lindsay,

I have done this in the past. I did find that people expressed interest but were reluctant to purchase right away. I do have individuals that I am still following up with though.

What I did was offer a cruise giveaway through a drawing, presented my vacation video that describes the package and gave everyone a package outline. I also opened up for questions, of which there were many, so be prepared.

If you were previously focusing on pay-per-click I assume you were marketing the opportunity? This is something that you can also do "party style" - or even better, hold a coffee-shop seminar to promote the Coastal business and advertise it locally. If your upline is local, you can do it together.

Hope this gives you some ideas...

I made a website at homestead that is mainly for retail and purchasing the package, although I made the cheap one where I don't have any option to purchase from the site (all in good time...)

I put on our website "Look for the date of our upcoming open house" and I was going to have the presentation DVD running on the tv quietly for those interested; wine and cheese, and the vacations on display around the dining room on poster boards; the cards arranged somehow too...and one for a raffle for people to fill out a card to put in a box...NOW THAT'S THE KICKER, those are my LEADS. On those cards they will check if they
a) might be interested in a package
b) might be interesed in a home business
c) might want more information at a later date and a place for the date
d) none of the above

One of those cruises gets complained about because you're on bunks if you don't upgrade and I can never remember which one it is so check that out or it could ocme back and bite you.

We are planning our open house for June so anyone who has more pointers for me, that would be great!!

Hi Tonya,

What do you mean by a coffee shop seminar? And it is the opportunity that I wish to market - you see, I live in a small town with LOTS of stay-at-home moms, so I know there is a market for it. I am pretty new to this, but think I can get a lot farther with leads outside of purchasing them.....

So what do you suggest I have prepared for them? Should I present something myself? WHat kind of broshure type things should I send home with them?

Thanks

Beckie - what is homestead? We have a retail site jldunn.wholesaletravelnow.com with our MAC system - but I would like to make another....just to extract myself from the masses sort of thing.

Good luck in your seminar in June, if I think if anything, or hear anything I will let you know!

Hi Lindsay,

I can answer your question about Homestead. It is website building/hosting service that offers downloadable software and templates to create websites for a monthly fee. I use it for most of my sites, with the exception of the Closing Center.

What I mean by a coffee shop seminar (or hotel or any other venue) is that you find a place that will allow you to give a presentation to a group about Coastal. To do this, you create an advertisement to place locally inviting participants to register to learn how to earn an income from home. Registration is mandatory so that you know exactly how many people to prepare for - and so you can obtain their contact information. Offer a cruise or other incentive for guests to register.

When you hold the event, you present Coastal to the participants. Some ideas for materials: the Coastal video or flash presentation, reproduction of the income charts, brochures from CSG, etc. Pretty much anything you can find that will promote and explain the opportunity.

If you can find another Coastal director to do this with you (split the leads/sign ups) you will have the power and skills of two people to do the work.

Does that help?

That helps,

Thanks!

You sound like you have a bit of experience with Coastal, what do you do for advertising?

I am trying to branch away from purchasing leads, and don't really know alot about what I am doing.....

Have you ever had a "party" for the opportunity? What kind of results did you get?

Thanks in advance

When my kids were younger, I used to belong to a coffee group where we went to a different house each week with the kids and we chatted while they played. We occasionally had a guest come in to speak abut one thing or another so this may be a good place for you to go for no cost. Check out church groups and play groups to find out who runs it. You could speak to them on their regualar day. Don't forget to offer some free cruises to spike interest!

Hi Lindsay,

To answer your question about advertising:

Online:

Some PPC, posting in forums, participation in the lead Co-op provided by the Closing Center.

Offline:

Marketing the package B2B with brochures/flyers and sales letters. I'm also trying out some door hangers I made up for the opportunity, but the jury still out on those...

Lindsay,
There is a great retail training on the Board of Director's line on Tuesdays at 3pm est (check for confirmation of time as it may have changed).

It will give you additional ideas on top of the ones you've been given here.

Thanks Roger,

What is the Board of Director's Line? Is that the one that comes in the package?

Thanks all!
