I signed up for all the COA websites, telecenter and everything last month. I thought this would keep me up- to- date since I don't work Coastal full-time.

I just found this group and read tons of information that is going on with Coastal and I am clueless.

Why have we not had a voice broadcast from the telecenter explaining that some changes were taking place and given us some information?

Is the "Official Coastal Information" not as official as I was expecting?

Hi Shana, if you are referring to the Funtime thread going on none of us really know what is going on.

My partner and I are working Coastal part time at the moment as well until my current business slows down a bit.

I agree we need better communication between the BOD and us.

That said, Coastal is still the BEST business I have ever had the good fortune to have found, I have been in many other businesses before. Gets frustrating at times but someone who posts on this forum uplifted me when I needed it and you will find that there are those who will uplift you when you get frustrated as well!

Hang in there, there are plenty to encourage and support us right here.

There needs to be a members only website with a login page and everything to keep us all up on new things but I'm not holding my breath on this one.

That's a great idea!
I'm sure there is someway we could create a forum that only Coastal members could access.

Maybe the guys who own this forum would be interested in helping.
Like create a thread within this forum that could only be accessed with a code given to Coastal members only.

Just a thought......

Cindy,
I can do that with my forum over on ezboard. We don't use it very much but it is open and available for anyone. Just go to letstalkcoastal dot com and you'll find it. It doesn't get anywhere near the activity of this forum but it is there for anyone who wants to use it. I can make areas password sensitive but I was thinking that the BOD should create a website that all of us could enter our member ID and it could be cross checked through their computer system to verify that we are actual members and then we could create a member login profile. Then they could put important updates to what's going on like THE FUNTIME MERGER and at least keep us from looking like we have no clue as to what is going on.

Excellent idea Harold for the BOD to have a private forum. I guess I was wondering why I would have to go on a FunTime call to learn the info that I should have heard from Coastal on a directors call or at least a message on the telecenter.

Hello Shana

I suppose we have not heard about the merger as the news is not official yet.

I think I read somewhere that the info was going to be released at the conference in las vegas later this month?

cheers
maria

Hi Shana,

Any new project from the Coastal Board of Directors is kept a secret as it may not take place. The nature of travel is consistent change, so what "might" have been a good idea, may take 6 months longer to take place.

The Coastal Board of Directors have been diligent about bringing us better tools and websites and raise the standards the group has come to expect.

As I see it, a few of the folks who are beta testing the Fun Times project were put in the loop about a Merger and I DO get Fun Times updates from Fun Times and several AWSOME people I know who have been balancing Coastal and Fun Times.

As I see it, the project is not all the way finished so it's not time. I DO expect to hear more as there's a Tuesday at 1PM Conference with Al for Fun Times. I believe that's when the cover will officially be lifted. It PAYS to be in the know!!!

Getting the BOD to make timely updates and website modifications is why we have many teams out there trying to do their jobs keeping people informed and educated....

Sometimes they are on it, and many times, it comes months down the road, after enough people complain.

So... this is why there is ONE coastal and MANY groups.

Hey guys,

I was popping in the forum and saw this thread read it and figured id put my two cents in. First off I commend the BOD for all of the great information they do get out. They are always working on better ways and I know our feedback probably helps. There is alot of buzz going on about Fun Time and Coastal. Lets use the word "parternership". Fun Time is one of Coastals vendors and they have created a better relationship. The issue many of us have in Coastal are the vendors. They change and some dont do as well as others. Fun Time is being pushed to the forefront of alot of these vendors as they handle alot of the vacations in house. That makes the vacations one stop shops. No breakage certificates. Al Romine is going to be on the Fun Time Call on Tuesday June 12 @ 1pm est 402 756 9000 pincode 1025286# I suggest all that can you should attend. Alot will be cleared up on that call. See you there. BTW the fun time program has been working great as a compliment to my coastal business for the last 2 months now. Love to talk to anyone onn how. You can contact me from the signature website address my contact info is on that website.
