Hey faithhopelove,

There are numerous groups that make up the business of Coastal Vacations. As this is a business you run as an independent contractor anyone can start their own group and system. There are a few groups represented in this forum ranging from call centers to the Official Coastal Vacations Group. Id say its best to research them as they all offer great benefits, but those benefits need to be based on your needs as a business owner. Sit down with the person that introduced you to Coastal and get their feedback. There are also many here that can help so read the forum. Also be aware as you are asking about Coastal you will be bombarded by offers for many of us to be your director. Choose wisely if that is the route you take but id say really talk to the person how contacted you as they are and should be first in line.

I'm a Level 3 Director. It's official as of this weekend, it's been an amazing year of learning and discovering.

Now that I have my Directorship. This is how I will run my Coastal Business & operation.

I purchase my new teammate's first set of leads.
I do all of the follow calls with the team member so they can learn first hand.
I pay them a commission on each of the two training sales and release them as a director.

If they come in at a higher level, like Premier or Platinum. I process all the orders for them, just as my Director as done for me. The New Teammate keeps the Entire lower level commissions! That's $3200 & $1000 in their pocket, plus! They start building their team.

But that's just me and how i run my Coastal Operation.

Warm Regards,
Jena

Hi, Researchers!
Listen, the key to being successful with any homebased business is to have a system that is versatile enough to change with your personality so that you can customize it to your liking.

THAT is what is so GREAT about Coastal! There are lots of ways to promote your Coastal Vacations business. If you are a person who doesn't like to sell then the team I am involved in might be for you. We have a call center that takes our calls and closes our sales and then sends us a check for at least $1,000.

But, let's say that you don't mind selling. You could also do home parties like Pampered Chef does. Have a group come over and give away some vouchers for a Cruise or Vegas trip. You can make some serious sales that way.

You can go to local businesses and sell them a package for incentives to reward employees or to increase sales.

Coastal is so versatile that just about anyone can make money with this product.

Even if you are just an everyday, average person, let us show you how to use Coastal to be your own boss!

Can you really "sell" something to someone who doesn't want it? Let's say you are a vegetarian, if you and some friends goto lunch at McDonalds....are you going to buy a Big Mac because they offer it to you? I doubt it.

Having the right system is important, but it's also important to know that SALES...as some choose to call what we do in their marketing is not what we do. We are more like tour guides. We're looking for people who are looking for what we have. If you like what you see and read - then welcome to Coastal, if not...no problem, we're not looking to chase people down.

There are alot of options when it comes to coastal, I choose to get my milk from the source. This allows me and my team to focus on results and not the other stuff that seems to take place.

Now, this does not mean that other groups are bad - it does mean that there's an underlying person or group of people who are profiting from selling picks and shovels (also knows as marketing systems) to people within Coastal. Keeping this in mind when you review the information will assist you in this process.

As you review the information about Coastal, you'll find that there are options that make it seem so easy that you don't have to do anything buy write a check - Know that the people who have success with Coastal WORK and that this is not a get rich quick opportunity. It IS an opportunity to make a lifestyle change.

It really depends on the "system".

Some systems will sell a product and sell it very well BUT even great systems require work like pushing leads TO the system to allow it to work.

How many different groups are there in Coastal?

Good Question!

There are many- The "official" group was obviously the original... there were problems so new groups came into being...

By my understanding- first the CSG, then Vacation Power and Wealthbuilders (again offshoots), around that time also the call centres (a few of those) and then a few newer smaller groups, christian based- etc- basically niche market groups. Lets not forget also the many, many completely independant directors (often either offline or retail market) that are also very happy and successful. We don't often hear about them- so they are easy to overlook!

SO- basically- LOTS of groups and systems to choose from. They ALL work- some of them better then others.

The trick is picking the right DIRECTOR for you first- I fully believe that- and then doing what they tell you to do. The only way to fail here is quit!

Ask lots of questions, and prepare to have fun!

Cheers

Hey Terri!

I'm doing better then GREAT! Thanks for asking- I hope that you can say the same!

I've had a busy summer- on a farm there is always activity with the kids off school (we board their ponys here) and I took some time off- the season is too short and seems to get shorter every year! I had the luxury of enjoying my handmade mexican hammock however- imagine the cruelty of being forced to work with pink lemonade, a laptop and cordless phone while my daughter ran around the yard playing with her paddle pool and the farm children!! lol! I loved it- they seem to grow so quick!

I hope everyone had an equally enjoyable and fulfilling summer!

I really appreciate all of your messages and thoughts welcoming me back! I'm glad I stopped in again now that the busy Coastal season is here again!

Roberto,
Coastal Vacations members are not technically "agents" as some people think. We are all just members of Coastal Vacations and we are independant business owners. Now, we do have the option of becoming actual certified Travel Agents if we wish but that is not automatic when we join Coastal Vacations. There is no customer service number to call for things like that. You could ask her for references or ask her for her upline director's number and call them.

Hi Roberto,

The best way to get to know her would be to spend some time with her on the phone. Attend a few conference calls.

My advice would be to check if they use this forum -you can use the search feature for that. If she has a website which is part of one of the groups mentioned that is a good thing as she is hopefully getting the support she needs to grow her business.

I have seen some advertising on the web re buying releases and not necessarily the product and there was someone that came into this forum and was "scammed" that way.
Almost every Coastal person has to give their first two sales at the level they came in to their upline Director. This will release them so that they can then start earning the commssions at that level themselves. On occasion a successful director might help you with getting your releases by giving you their sales as an incentive to join and I believe that is O.K. to do. This is usually a one time special and not an everyday occurrence.

Anyways, welcome to the forum. You will learn a lot on here. My advice would be to figure out how you will be advertising your business and what your marketing budget will be before you join but this is a great place to ask questions and to find answers from previous posts.

Where are you from Roberto? I live in Ontario, Canada and we are enjoying a beautiful fall with all the changing leaves.

BTW it's great to see you back on the forum Sean, did you take any of our great vacations in your time away from us you want to share?

Welcome to Coastal Roberto. You will find many excellent directors on this forum. My first thought would be for you to go to the website of the person that introduced you to Coastal. When you go on their site be sure to read over the Coastal Profile. If by any chance you dont have a site to go to then go to officialcoastaltraining(dot)com then click on "business and product training" then on "detailed product overview". I send you to that site as there are many groups in Coastal all with their great merits but this site is made by the association that created the Coastal Package itself. You will get the info right from the horses mouth. You can also get more business info about Coastal by going to a live conference call @ 10pm est. If you click on calendar on the same webpages you will see the schedule.

Now you really should get back to the director that first showed you Coastal but in the event you dont have one please feel free to browse the forum and talk to the many directors here. All of us including myself are able to help you if you dont already have a director.

Good Luck in your research.
