Google Keyword Tool Question.

Hi.

I've been reading PL tips on how to search for niches using specific keywords but google's keyword tool has changed slightly since.

For example: in PL, the search volume is a horizontal bar that indicates how many searches took place. If the bar was halfway across, that would indicate an average search volume.

but google has now changed this bar to a number instead (eg: 12,000)
So now how am I supposed to know what an average search volume is?

How do I contact PL to ask this question? or, can anyone out there help me on this.

Thanks.

I think you just have to use your instincts on this one. If a keyword phrase is getting 12,000 searches per month, then that is high search volume in my books. That is 400 searches per day. I usually don't go with phrases that have less than 1000 searches per month!

Yes i agree with makemoneyonline using your instincts is your best route.
Don't forget the competition is also important as the more competition there is the harder it is for you to rank.
I usually look for keywords with a competition of no more than 10,000,000.

There are other keywords available and maybe they would be easier to use, like:

http://tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook

OR

freekeywords.wordtracker.com

I use the google one myself though, it takes some getting used to and yes guesswok plays a major part in it.

Use the numbers - they are much better than the graphs that this tool used to have.

Well it looks like i'll have to use my instincts but it'll take time getting used to.

Thanks.
