So after the last week or so going through Profit Lance Lessons and projects and exploring the best ways to get a site online, I made a compromise.
I wanted to get my first site operational fairly quickly s that I would have a site to drive traffic to that actually caters to my interests.
I needed to embrace a topic with which I am wholly familiar so that I can write good content (which I have not yet completely written).
So my first site was launched using Go Daddy and Webite Tonight. I have to admit, it's not the best option for creating a website, but I did find it easy to use and it allowed me to create my entire site in about 4 hours. (Hence the not yet perfectly written content).
I feel like I have a unique opportunity because I am offering a service that is not widely found (a personal phone consultation).
Working in my business I already know that any lead generated that turns out to be worthwhile will generate me $25-150.
I also added a few affiliate links to my site obtained through commission junction.
Now that ,y site is created I am starting my blogger blog, squidoo lense and I plan to submit articles to ezine, goarticles and a couple article submitters.
My question for the forum is...Am I on the right track here?
I also plan on advertising through Craigslist due to the fact that I can localize leads to the cities/areas in which I have the best business contacts for referals.
What else can I do to increase the visibility of my site?
See my link below...

Hi dbmoney,
Big congrats, you're off to an excellent start.
I think that you have enough to keep you busy for a while and have most bases covered.
Sounds like you probably know what you are doing. Be sure to interact within your niche by commenting on forums with a sig link and blogs with a website link.
Have you ever created a site, blog, or lens before? If not then you certainly have your hands full and won't have to worry about much else besides mastering what you've decided to take on for several months.
Later on you might also get into analytics, PPC, Adsense, and list building via opt-in form.
Best of luck and welcome to the forum,

Just PLAN to stick to your PLAN for months....consistently adding content, writing articles, posting to your blog, adding more lenses...

It seems the problem I am having now is that Google won't index my site. Just to make sure the site gets crawled I used google webmaster tools and submitted my site to Digg. I guess the affiliate links on my site have stuck it in Google limbo for awhile.
Any idea when I can expect my site to get indexed on google?
Anyone have similar experiences?
I guess I know for the future...get the site indexed BEFORE adding any affilate links to the pages..
Oh well...I guess I'll just keep writing articles and blogging
