Hello again PL's. I have a bunch of questions to ask Mike, however I'm getting no support from emailing him.
Anyway, I have about 10 specific questions I need answered. I'm assuming this approach is ok. I am offering to pay someone with experience to answer these for me in private email, then I can post the Q and A's back here in this forum for all to read.
The reason I'm taking this approach is that some Q's are quite long and indebt.
But if you recommend I just post them here, I'll do it that way.
I think a lot of minor, or major, missing answers are holding me up
from getting started. 
Please let me know either way. Thanks.

Don't pay anyone to answer your questions. Just ask them. That's part of what this forum is for. We help each other make money online.
The worst thing that can happen is that we don't know the answers. I bet some of your questions will be answered if you post them here.

OK, sounds good. I appreciate all the help and advice.
concerning Adsense and Adsense web sites. For example, the weekly adsense sites , or 10 of my own.
--can I upload 10 sites on a parent site domain, generate traffic and send visitors to the specific page topic, or should I have a .com
for each topic? Or a .info. A seperate domain for each Adsense site, (topic)?
This is where I'm confused at the moment. I don't know which way I should go about setting up the sites. It's driving me nuts.
mydomain.info or .com for each site, or, mydomain.info or .com/eachsitetopicname
I can do it either way, but I want to do it the most revelant and correct way. The most revelant way I think would be to
send traffic to a homepage (titled with a keyword) which is better for SEO, I think, thus telling me I should have a seperate domain for each site.
If this is the correct way to do it then, would a .info suffice, as they cost me 1/10 the price of a .com. Or are they not as search engine friendly.

trevor- For most of my adsense sites, I have .com names. There are a few that are .info and .net. I really don't think it matters! .info is great because it is only 1 dollar at godaddy
You should have a separate website for each topic. If you have a topic on how to cure acne, it should be a completely separate site than one you have for say car insurance. Try to get your keywords in your domain name. If you can't get the .com name, move on and try to get the. net or .info names! Hope that helps

I finally heard from Mike and he cleared up a few issues.
This is great also.
OK a seperate site for each topic. That makes sense.
So using the PL adsense sites for real life practice, I'll get DOT info's.
I'm just wondering if I should even bother with those sites, and just make my own sites modeled after them.
But that's all I need, is basic sites? Nothing fancy dancy with intricate web design and headers and all that jazz?
Also, when should I start using an opt in forum? I am a beginner and I have Aweber and all the other tools. I just need to know how and when to incorporate them.
I learn best if I am told what to do once and the reason why, and then it's cemented in my mind.

Basic sites are probably the best. If you start adding flash banners and a lot of graphics, your page might take forever to load.

i totally agree with makemoneyonline basic sites are beter as we all hate waiting for websites to load and these graphics dont really improve on the information provided, which is one of the sole purposes of visiting some of these sites. Just a tip put yourself in a vistors shoes and think what they will be lookinf for and why they will visit your site intead of others

Trevor, you read my mind again. I did the adsense thing with my blog but can someone tell me the next step. I have my websites from PL but am afraid to get started. The websites are not created by me so I feel kind of awkward creating traffic to them. And I have no idea how to begin generating traffic. Or what to do first. Do I write an article with links????

So, basically, submit my 6 page site, including home page, labeled with a keyword I would think, use a site map and then keep adding article pages, 1 a week and link them up?
Concerning the weekly Adsense sites, acne, accounting, auto-care, etc.. I notice each homepage has an article with the authors name.
Would it be better if I install my own article, and remove the existing article and the authors name? Is it important to keep the original, or does it not matter.
Also, when should I start using an opt in forum? I have Aweber and all the other tools. I just need to know how and when to incorporate them. I think if I'm reading an article, and click a link to get somewhere, am I going to want to give my details just to get there. Is this the common way of using an opt in form?

Don't even bother using these sites. The only reason they are provided is so you can use them as an example for your own sites.

You can start using them whenever you want. I STILL don't even use them. The sooner the better though because you can start growing your list.

Hi Trevor thanks for your email and comments.
Here's the answer to your questions:
1. I sent the clicks to a temporary blog page which had relevant content on
it. You can set one up at blogger.com or if you have an existing website
you can set up an individual page for that purpose to act as the landing
page.
2. Broad, Exact and Phrase are covered in the adwords documents that
are available for download. In general always use a phrase or exact
match, alongside the practice of creating tightly focused ad groups
based around sets of related keywords, and set up different landing
pages to that end as well. This provides better responses and
a lower cost per click overall.
3. You can use a .info if you like for the sites, but primarily, you
want to get used to the idea of getting traffic to the sites. That's
the main underlying skill. So practice it with some of the sites, just
use one domain initially and practice the traffic generation strategies,
be sure to monitor traffic using a stats package, or stats counter
code. Your aim is just to make your first dollar in Adsense, if you
can do that, you've overcome a big milestone. But the most important
point at this stage is just getting something up so you can learn
the techniques, don't worry too much about the strategies of all
those domains etc. for now. Get the skills, and then you can use
them in whatever way you want.
You will get better results by researching and identifying your own
niche subjects for adsense. Good research initially makes the traffic
generation aspect a lot easier.
4. In general keyword research is the same for adsense and affiliate
marketing. You use keyword research for different purposes. To first
find a niche, and then to find more keywords for that particular
niche. So for adsense you want keywords to build pages around, to
provide content and attract traffic. For affiliate marketing again
you want to get traffic from those keywords from ppc and also
natural search traffic. So it is essentially the same.
5. An optin is always a good idea, if you want a long term business.
You should try and build a list as it is a great asset for your
business. You can also to great things with lists, like consumer
surveys, market tests, etc. etc. You would do this mainly for
affiliate products and not adsense.
However, there is no hard or fast rule. All of this is subject to
research. Different processes work for different products and
markets. Sometimes you might want to do a direct presell, no
optin. Other times you might want to do optin in order to hard
sell a product via the autoresponder. It all varies.
6. You should always keep your optin lists very focused. If someone
opts in to receive information about a particular subject, always
keep it like that, otherwise your targeting of your prospects will
no be focused, and thus not effective.

I'm like you quite new to all of this. Going slow, but I have sold a coupld of times so far and I am making a little through adsense. I've just got one little site I am working on, and learning from, so I am definately encouraged.

So I am still overwhelmed with info and would like to know exactly what to do with the websites given to me from PL. Do I write an article w/links to the sites?? If my next step is getting traffic, whats the best way to start that ?? PL has many options, not sure what to do first thats free and good practice for a super newbie.

You should only use those sites as an example and then create your own sites. You'll want to write articles and put your link at the bottom. Try the free methods in PL!

Just for the record, Site Build It isn't a template. Yes, it includes a variety of templates to choose from, but it is a complete web site building package.
I know it "sounds" expensive. It is $299 for the year. I felt that way before I took the plunge and tried it. Now, with over a year under my belt I have completely changed my mind. I think it is quite cheap! 
That works out to $25 per month and includes all you need to build a really successful site. This is especially true if you are interested in affiliate marketing and adsense income (that's what I'm doing with my first two sites).
Apart from the "templates" you are also getting a very step by step guide, both written and video (I personally love the video version). You get your domain, hosting, auto-responders, automatic blog creator, an amazing amount of tracking tools, automatic search engine submissions for each page, etc.
As a former newbie, Site build it is perfect for the complete novice. It is the whole package all wrapped up nicely into one big gift with bow on top.
Just thought I'd clear up that little misconception.

I agree. 
Despite the price, SiteBuildIt is great for newbies trying to learn site
building. Instead of just learning how to put up a web site, it guides
you through the critical aspect of site building which is ultimately
getting traffic to your site.
