Getting traffic to a blog is a matter of submitting your site to social bookmarking sites with the proper tags, commenting on others' blogs (make sure they have dofollow tag), and updating regularly.

Earning something from adsense is easy, earning a lot from adsense - not so much. Think of adense as your training-wheel period in online marketing. It's great for new people because even if you just make a few cents, it feels like progress. This makes it easier for a new person to feel like they are getting results and stay motivated.

The other good thing about adsense is that it lets you try a lot of different approaches to marketing and the results, even if not big results, tend to accumulate quickly. This makes it easier for you to learn what people respond to and what to focus on.

As for your adsense code not showing ads, you'll need to tell people what platform you're using before anyone can help you out there.

Hi, read the adsense plan in the blueprint section. It tells you exactly what to do

Are you still not able to get your ads to show? Like I said before, you'll need to tell us what platform you're using for anyone to give you some advice (Platform is:blogger, wordpress, etc)

As for how much you can earn, nobody can give you an estimate because it depends on too many things: your niche, your CTR, the location of your traffic - again, just too many variables...

That is hard question to answer, it all depends on how many visitors you get and how effectuvely you monetize your blog. Get these both right and you blog could earn you alot, do one of these and earning money will be slow.

So it comes down to how much time you spend on the blog, and how effectively you use that time, original content is one factor you should concentrate on, without this your visitors have nothing to read and will leave your site as fast as they arrive.
