Not to long ago I was in your shoes Cody, unfortunately i didn't do the research and got burned a few times(to say the least) If I had to do it over again I would spend more time researching and less time spinning my wheels.

One last thing, YOU'RE NOT GOING TO GET RICH QUICK, spend time in college in case you don't make it big, and understand that there is potential out here on the net just that you need to treat it like a real job.
Real work=real money....be it online or not.

I've always been a big believer in residual income, which is why my opendomain site is what I primarily promote. Again check out a few of sites as far as what people have to offer and i'm sure you'll find something that suits you.

Best of luck,
Gil

Welcome Cody
Yes I would say many of us here have been burned at one time or another.
And that is so easy given the huge number of sites out there-it is staggering.
A good rule of thumb to follow is avoid the sites that claim they hold a "secret formula" to making money and that by following their "unique system" you will make thousands by next week.
Doesn't work like that.If only!
Usually it will be a overpriced e-book being promoted and most ,if not all of the info in them is available online free.
Take these forum for example!
Research,research-I know that sounds boring when you really want to jump in there and get going ,but it will help you avoid some of the scams and hurdles out there.
What are your interests?
Read the forums,as many as possible, and read what people say about the companies,do a google on them as well to see what comes up.
Welcome to the crazy world of online biz!

Good Luck it's out there just go get it.. anything you truly beleive in will work for you..

Hey Cody,

Welcome. Oh how I wish I would have started this when I was your age. I have no doubt I would have a really healthy steady income without a lot of continued effort by this time. Hindsight...

Anyway, there are a lot of scams, but there are some decent companies with integrity that realize it is in their best interests for you to succeed rather than just to get a one time purchase from you that leaves you spinning your wheels.

After trial and error, I found a company like that - Sitesell. It's not an MLM, but basically a program that teaches you to find a niche that you are really interested in and build an online business out of it with a content based web site. It's a good place to start with very little investment and plenty of long term results.

I've only been using SBI (a product of Sitesell) for a year, but I'm still wearing rose colored glasses when it comes to that company. They take you from zero knowledge to success for what equates to $25 a month - Less than a cup of coffee a day.

They pretty much provide you with everything you need from the training to the software, domain, hosting, seo optimization, se submissions, etc.

There are quite a few different directions you can go to get to where you want to be. This is just one of the options, but I know from experience that it is a reliable one, and worth considering.

All the best for your success.

Welcome Cody!

My best advice would be that if something seems to good to be true it probably is lol! That being said it is absolutely possible to earn the kind of income you are looking for with network marketing. In my opinion a true interest in the product you are selling is essential to your success so I would take the time to research as many opportunities as you can and pick one that is a right fit for you.

I was lucky enough to find success with the first company I signed with but the more I read about others experiences I have found out that it is the exception and not the rule.

Wishing you much success!

Coni

When I discovered that I wanted to learn something to do business at home, I thought I should have done this long time ago.

It took me many years working for other people to get steady paychecks to realize that the when you work for yourself, it is much happier.

I am still working for earned income (paycheck as employee), but I am spending time more learning to be entrepreneur and to have residual income (income that keeps coming even when you don't work or stop working).
