Just curious really, this is not intended to be any sort of empirical research study before anyone asks. I would just like to know in order to compare with my own time. Thanks to anyone that takes the time to reply.

I do not get into forums every day, but when I do I try to make four to five posts in 5 to 10 different forums. I like forum marketing but do not have the time to do it every day.

I spend about 30 minutes a day in forums. I read the latest posts and see if there are any questions I feel qualified to answer and I look for answers to some of my questions.

I try to get into forums every other day for about a half hour to 45 minutes.

Sometimes I visit forums as my "water cooler" time. I know I should be working, but I just want to roam around for a bit.

In this forum (which is what you specifically asked) I spend around 15 - 30 minutes.

I try to make detailed, informative posts rather than one-liners, and that takes time.

So, on those occasions, I'd spend around 30-45 minutes. That time also includes careful proofreading.

Why? Because it's very important to communicate in writing as clearly and correctly as possible, both as a courtesy to others, and to ensure the message is not misunderstood.

I'm trying to visit daily because I think this forum is active, well supported and very useful.

I don't get on here every day but usually I get drawn back in when I see a response to a thread that I am watching and then before I know it - half an hour is gone.... I absolutely love hanging out here with folks of like mind... learning and helping where I can...

LOL
Oh the times i've said to myself, "Ok lets just go check our PMs" then an hour passes and my PM box is still half unread.

It is difficult to see someone post a question and not voice my opinion or help out when I can.

When I'm here i'm generally commited to at least 45 mins to 1 hour.

I try to come every day, but not for long. I come here to offer whatever advice I can to beginners because no one really did it for me. I belonged to paid forums and got general advice but I'm happy to work one-on-one through PM and email. Success isn't difficult but it can take a lot of time. I want to help cut to the chase.

I skim over this and 3 other forums daily. Somedays there are alot of good posts worth reading.

I do not particularly like other forums where there are long drawn out article type posts. That is not what a forum is for.
People here generally write concise posts that are to the point.

I actually go on this forum everyday. I love this forum and you get really freat advice. As for how many hours a day, I think that all depends on you. I do limit myself, because I have a family I don't wanto to take away too much time from them.

To your massive success,
Michelle
