I would like to know if any of you have any experiences that might be shared as to whether or not you find your clients treat you any differently after they find out that you run a home-based business.

It seems to me as if quality, service and experience should count more than the building you work out of, but from what I hear, I sometimes wonder if that's taken into consideration before comments are made.

Though I never had to deal with clients to sell services I have seen some of my friends with home-based businesses struggling to bag contracts largely because of the fact that they operate from home.

If you are new, it can get real tough establishing a mark. However, if you have been into service for quite some time and have satisfied clients, having a professional website with client testimonials can help tremendously.

To offset the turn off caused by the fact that you are running a home-based business, one must work hard to create a professional image. Some of the ways are already discussed here:
