I've been using Firefox more than Internet Explorer these days.

I was wondering about you guys. Which do you use more?
FF or IE?

Take a quick vote!

I don't want to start any problems here...but I really prefer Internet Explorer. Everyone I know in the IM business says that Firefox is the best, hands down. I'm not sure I completely agree. It does have some features that beat out IE and has better security and everything, but I still prefer IE. There are some programs on my computer that don't work properly with IE, so I use Firefox for only that.

For some reason I just don't like the layout, how it looks, and its not as easy to use. IE has many shortcuts I have gotten used to. I guess I am just used to IE but if I stayed with Firefox long enough it would grow on me. But for now I use both with a strong sway toward IE.

I use both too but I prefer Firefox and use it more because of all
the add-ons that are available like ftp, download manager, bookmark
manager, and bunch of neat SEO stuff.

Furthermore, there is a portable version which I install on my U3 thumb
drive. I can use any computer anywhere and still have access to my
previous sessions and bookmarks.

Way cool!

Hi 040107,

Good poll topic.

I have a preference for FF. However, I also use IE and Opera every day along with FF.

Each has it's strong suits. It's nice to have a toolbox of browsers for various tasks :)

I'm using Flock too, after all the problems I had with IE it's great.
It was hard to switch at first but now I don't even consider IE.

I use Firefox for the add-ons and plug-ins. One of my favorites is called IE Tab. It lets you make a tab in Firefox render as Internet Explorer. That way you get both browsers in one!

I've been using Firefox for years. One reason is that, as a web page designer, I learned that there are certain things with CSS in particular that Firefox supports that are more W3C standard compliant than IE.

To see what I'm talking about, view this in IE versus Firefox, Safari, or Opera (if you have both)

http://www.csszengarden.com/?cssfile=062/062.css

CSS Zen Garden is one of my favorite sites for displaying the power of CSS, and this particular design shows how IE is missing out by not supporting the standards.

Another reason, that I've more recently discovered, that I like Firefox is all the add ons you can customize with. IE has some, but no where near as many (and some you even have to pay for). I think my most used add on lately is ScribeFire, which lets me post to most of my blogs from one convenient place -- And I can do it while still browsing!

So, while I do use IE from time to time, I find that Firefox gives me a bit more flexibility. And best of all, I can use it on both Windows and Linux

Firefox for me. In my experience, it's a lot better than IE.
