If I create a lens to promote a particular site/product should I continue to use that same lens to post more about that same product or site or create a new lens each time? Seems to me maybe a lens would rank higher the more content that is on it?
Newbie here.....

Create a whole set of lenses on a different aspect of the same product and link them all together.

For instance, let's say that you are wanting to build a lens on freestyle snowboarding stuff and you do a search for keywords, you will discover that there are a variety of keyword phrases you can use, such as:

snowboarding freestyle
freestyle snowboarding
beginner freestyle tips
learning to freestyle
best freestyle techniques

I would build a lens for each phrase and then use the Featured Lenses module to link them all together....

Have fun

While content is an important component to getting higher rankings, having lots of inbound links
from a variety of unrelated sites elevates the importance of the content. Those two elements work
together to push you up in the SERPs.

How true is this? What if I have many inbound links from high PR (above 6) sites?

That is very true! The more links you have pointing your site the better. The better PR those links have that are pointing to your site the more important Google thinks they are, which in turn will give you a better PR.

The above suggestions are good. When I create a lens, at first I will not put everything in it. I included all the main points but leave a few little things out so when I go back and refresh my lens I already know what to do and I'm not stuck trying to figure out how to refresh it.

You do want to create other lenses for all your sub-topics.
