I admit that I am proud of myself

Wow, Newbie. Just came across this thread. I'm awed by you getting your lens in the top 100. Your focus is truly amazing, I see you have four lenses to-date. Way to go.

Hi Businessonapage,

Thanx

At one point I actually had two of the four lenses in the top 100 overall at the same time.

One made it to number 11 overall and stayed in the top 100 overall for three months - the one that currently has 322 fans - and the other lens was in the top 100 overall for just over one month.

The two remaining lenses made it to 133 and 162 overall but never quite reached the top 100 overall (close but no cigar).

Now all four have lost rank due to the fact that I haven't done much with them for a long time. There's only so much you can do with a lens before it's time to move onto something else.

I'll be making lenses in the future but for now my focus is on paid hosting. I have two domains that I will be working on one by one. Slowly rolling out the first one. Both are already well planned.

Also working on creating blog themes from scratch. Toying with the PHP and CSS files. It's quite a bit to wade through but I think it's fun and I'm learning quite a bit each day

I visited, rated, and favorited some of your newer lenses.

Wow, you've really been busy and you have 33 lenses at present. Good for you! You'll be a Giant Squid in no time at all

Your lenses look great - keep up the good work. Squidoo is pretty addicting isn't it? It took a lot of self control to stop after I made four lenses. I had a strong desire to keep making them indefinitely.

I'm sure I'll make some more later in the year but for now I have work on some other things that have higher priority.

If you haven't done so, I suggest joining their forum (SquidU). If you interact there, you'll get more action on your lenses, which will in turn increase your Page Rank and SERPs positions. Then when you link from your lenses to your main site, you'll have a more potent back link.

Glad you are doing well with Squidoo,

~Newbie Shield~

Thanks for a lot of advice on squidoo. I will explore SquidU as you suggested.

I'd say that was a great achievement.

I'm working on my first lens at the moment, and getting much guidance from your how-to-lens, by the way. It would be a treat to make the top 100... someday.

You sound as excited as a kid in candy store with one helluva sweeet tooth, who is enjoying every moment of it. Good for you! I have no doubt that your projects will be successful.
