I heard of some software that will take articles that have already been written, spin them around and make something new out of them. I personally would vouch for creative writing instead, but I wonder if anybody has any experience using these kinds of tools and how has it been working for you?

Hi Dave,

Article spinners spew junk. Don't waste your time or your money.

I disagree, check out wordflood for a one off or unique article wizard. It costs money, but puts out a quality product. Check it out

Hi Mathew,

I watched the video and read the entire site. I even studied the screenshot closely. That software isn't any different from most of the other trash I've seen.

Obviously the English language is quite complex and that has been the bane for article spinners in the past. Even MS Word 2007 has difficulty with grammar and Microsoft has been spending quite a bit on developing the Word engine for the past several years.

That's part of the reason I am resistant to believing that a small fry could create something worth using.

Language is extremely complex with various tenses, irregulars, and semantics. English is full of irregular conjugations. It's a well-known fact that it is one of the most difficult languages to learn. Coming up with an algorithm that will properly field substitution is very difficult at best.

Furthermore, there is the question of ethics. Using a spinner is more or less a mindless process. It wouldn't produce "your works" per se. Additionally, it wouldn't have your "voice". Trust me, you definitely want consistency with your voice. Inconsistency is a big turn off. Last, many would simply take the works of others and spin their own versions.

You could say similar things about guns and other tools and I'm well aware of that sort of argument. However, abusing spinners is particularly tempting to the majority of the masses that would use them.

Historically, spinners have put out complete trash - especially when used to translate into a different language. Nothing has changed. They still spew junk.

This program allows substitution of improper words - it even allows improper substitution of incorrect pluralities. I see that it allows substitution of words that would change the entire meaning of sentences.

Sure, you can choose which words to allow within the options given, but I can see from the video and the screen shot that so many of the choices would be wrong. I see little if any value in this program. Even if you are well-versed in English, you'd still make costly mistakes at least once in a while with this program.

There are too many rules, variables, and semantics for a software program like this to be worth using - even if it were free (this one costs $37).

Conclusion = don't buy it or use any spinner. Write original works. If you think that spinners "work fine" then you have a long way to go in mastering the English language. I'll say it again. Article spinners are worthless trash.

Mathew, I respectfully suggest that you take some regionally accredited college composition classes. Once you do that, you'll see what I'm saying and will almost certainly agree.

Spinners that are automated are completely useless to anyone but a spammer.

Now, a program like Power Article Rewriter is actually pretty good if you want to write 1 article but have 50 versions that are somewhat unique from Google's POV.

Hi MyOwnBoss,

I agree on both accounts. I checked out the program you spoke of. Any idea how much it goes for if any of the forum members would like to look into it?

The site is http://powerarticlerewriter.com/. There's a demo video that shows how the program works.

If I recall correctly, it's $97.00 (but don't come after me if I'm wrong, I bought it several months ago).

My opinion only, but this is the only 'spinner' I could actually imagine using.

I actually downloaded a copy of power article rewriter but never actually used it. I think it is like MyOwnBoss said, it can give you different versions of the same article. When I downloaded it, I got a 15 day free trial, installed the software, and never used it.

I'd rather invest the money in a ghostwriter to write some content.

Where to go to find ghostwriters? I have been starting to wonder about that?

As far as ghostwriters are concerned, you can find plenty in freelance sites. I am willing to give you the url of the one I use the most if you PM a request for it (don't want to spam)

But to answer the original question I don't think I would want a software that does the writing for me. You lose your voice and the human touch when that happens, and as newbieshield said before, the English language is very difficult to master for humans, there is no way that software can handle it. You would still have to go back to make changes and corrections.

What I do is use a software that helps me to rewrite articles, its called DupeFree Pro. This program has two panes, one to put the original article, and another to write the new article in. There is a button that I can press that will check the new article against the old, and highlight any matching content (I have mine set to four words, but you can set it to any length you like)

Once you are finished with the new article, you can also check it against google for matching content as well. This way, when you publish the new content, it will not match anything that is out there already.

I think this is the best software out there for article rewriting.
