Hi guys and NS especially i wanted to pick your brain real quick. I have read many of your posts and reference them often. I cant find one in particular that i been looking for related to keyword research and how to go about picking the right keywords.

I am currently completing the MOIS program. I see from some of your posts that WA, SBI, and Profit lance are most popular. But i had to start somewhere and MOIS seemed to get good remarks in this forum before i read about some of the others. I am learning a bunch but im not real happy about the fact that the free website they give you is about making money online which is the most competitive market i have come to find out. Seems to set a newbie up for failure although i wont give up.

Now having learned this now i planned on finishing the 60 day plan out because i have learned a so much and to be honest i have learned a lot in this forum as well. I have made several sales in the 6 weeks i have been doing it. Should i stay on the path i am on with my money making website and get experience writing articles and then when i finish this course go with another course? A little confused at moment. Information overload i think

Thanks for any help just wanted to pick your mighty brains if you get any time! Thanks again
clay

Hi Clay,

Claymerica:

A good place to start is with Google's free keyword tool here:

https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

You want reasonable demand - perhaps between a few hundred and a few thousand but depends on who you ask. You also want low competition - should be very little if any green on the bar.

While it is true that the make money online is one of the most competitive niches, that shouldn't stop you from going into it. It just takes longer to research phrases that you will be able to compete with.

If you love the topic and feel you will stay interested in it for a good 2-3 years or more, then find a way to make it work.

Mind if I ask how you've been making money? What I mean is are you getting commissions for promoting MOIS or from some other means?

After I learn the method I can better answer your last question.

PS. Know that the free keyword tool is just a starting point. You'll want to look at the Google SERPs yourself and even visit the top five or so results.

Don't bother competing if the top several results are sites such as Wikipedia, Amazon, Microsoft, etc. You'll have too much difficulty trying to outrank them.

Furthermore, I wouldn't try to compete with the top dogs of a niche if they have a PR5 or higher and have had their sites up for three or more years.

I have some sales promoting clickbank thru my free website setup thru mois. Not anything to write home about but just enough to give me encouragement i guess.

Hi Clay,

In that case I would think that you'd want to continue on with it. You can expand to do some other things when ever you think the time is right.

That's awesome Claymerica, that you are earning money within 6 weeks! It proves that you are doing things right!

I've been told to master one subject then move on to the next one instead of knowing basics on each subject. I've heard that from many successful entrepreneurs, different background and areas.

However, don't be stuck in one place!

what I have learned about keyword research -
1 you should use google keyword search tool
2 start with a broad keyword exp. make money online
3 look for a couple different keywords with decent search volume and remember you want longer more specific keywords
4 search more within those keywords - remember to write all these keywords down as you will need them later on and don't want to forget them
5 if you find any more keywords after digging as far as you can with in a one broad keyword save them
6 now go to google search
7 search everyone of those keywords with exact match exp. "make money online"
8 write down search results of each of those keywords if its in the range of 0-10,000 you have yourself a good keyword

I got my article ranked first page second spot with google using "internet marketing online" and following the steps above

I hope that helped you with keyword research if you need more info pm me

Next you are curious about starting a new program or finishing the one you started.

My response to that is finish the one you started. If you don't once you know if you will be purchasing different products all over the place. There is always something new coming out and products are beating there competition everyday.

Once you have finished that program then I suggest to start another. Like I said something new is coming out all the time, certain people find different techniques all the time and it doesn't hurt to have a second opinion. However don't start another until you finish the first or you will keep opening the door and never walk through.

I thought about the same thing, the first program I got was PLC I lose interest very quickly and shortly I wanted to purchase another product but I did not. I stuck with it and when I felt I had learned enough from it I then got into WA. The two now work great for myself. So again stick with one finish and move on to the next

There is a certain website that can tell you if your article submission site or whatever you're using will rank above certain other webpages im not sure if i can post that here so if you're interested send me a pm

you might even be able to search it and find it with these keyword "natural page rank" or "natural listings tool"

you may already know this info if so sorry im wasting your time and hopefully the info will help others
