Hello! I am a small business working from home and heard from a customer of mine about virtual office suppliers. I just did a google search on them so I can read up. But are they worth every penny?

My business means I am on the road all the time and seeing customers.

Is not having the illusion of being in a fancy office holding your business back?

Yes - Then it is probably worth the money

No - Keep the cash

The main reason why some people use a virtual office is because they are trying to be affiliates for some of the larger affiliate networks, but can't get approved because of they country they live in - a virtual office offers a way around that. I don't think a virtual office is necessary if you live in the United States.

Thanks for your replies! At this stage I might do a bit more research and I don't think it's for my business at the moment but Getagrip you're comments have me intrigued. I say this because I'm making the move to the States next year as I'm getting married and have no idea if I'll bring my work over.

I'd have to start again which will be hard. What kind of business permits etc is required to start up in the States?

Hi there

Thought I would give my 5c worth here.

Actually I have been working as a virtual office assistant for the past 4 years. My main function is to provide office support to professionals and small businesses.

Most of my tasks are accounting related though as I keep the books up to date on a monthly basis and do their financial reports.

My clients are all over the place and I work from home so all the work is done via on line programs, email and telephone.

For me its been great, as I can stay at home with my dogs (and then I am at my happiest) and still make enough money to pay the bills

My company is called Office Management Support (do have a website too).

But to be honest, I am now concentrating on getting my working online business in Affiliate Marketing set up so that hopefully one day I dont need to do that anymore.

All the best to you.
