I thought i'd post this since I just made $48 by this company and it was less than 6 hours of work. For anyone who desperately needs money and wants to work online, Associated Content is a sure thing. I do it in my spare time and i've made a little over $250 and the pay isn't bad either.

You can make anywhere from $3-$20 depending on your typing skills and what you write about. From my experience, health topics pay between $6-$9 per article and I can write one every 45 minutes or so. Topics that are likely to have a higher search potential will increase the payrate. Also, you do not have to pay anything to join, it's free

I do not believe this company is available to residents outside of the United States, although I could be wrong. For more information or signing up, there is a link in my signature to the site.

As mentioned earlier, if you're desperate for money, do not pass this opportunity by, because it's almost a sure thing. I've counted on them to pay my few bills, and they haven't let me down yet.

Associated Content is a great place to submit articles - and yes, as net4pay said - they do pay you for content.

One thing to remember is that when you are submitting articles to Associated Content, if you have submitted that article elsewhere online - or if you intend on submitting that article elsewhere online, you need to mark it as "non exclusive".

However, if you submit articles to them on an exclusive basis, meaning you won't publish the article anywhere else online, they tend to pay a little more.

Anyway...hope this helps.

Associated Content is one of most popular and reliable places to submit articles, but they are open only to US residents

Are restrictions set in place? Such as:

1. Can you still have your signature in the article?
2. Do they share the articles with other sites or keep them for themselves?

I've never heard of them and I intend on checking the site out! These are just questions that came to me as I read the post.

I've always had a talent for writing, perhaps I should try this out.

I have the same questions as someone else asked... how is copyright handled after you've sold an article to a company?

Ok, thanks for clearing that up.

Hey, pcwork... the site that you're talking about, Manuscript Services... does they require a person to have a degree in writing, or will they still consider an author w/o a degree based on their writing sample?

Do you know of any other sites that hire freelance writers?

What a great idea. If you are wondering what to write about for yourself, just follow the old Dale Carnegie advice, write about what you know. Hobby, work, etc.

Yes you can try Constant Content. You can get their link from my website if you like. I have listed others and they are all free to join. You will get paid for writing with these services.

Hope that helps

Yes, I think that if you have writing skills then Associated Content for USA and Constant Content for UK etc., are good options. You could also try Helium and Wise Orb or try reviewing Blogs for cash. If anyone wants further info I have more details on my site under the 'Writing' and 'Blog & Earn' links. The only thing about Helium and Wise Orb is that you are paid commission on ads that appear on your site as opposed to a flat fee for your work - so might take longer to build up but the more articles you write, the more money you will make. Both are open worldwide and payment is made via paypal.
Hope this helps.

Ive been doing this for a week or so now and have made $15 and they already payed me.

I would have more but I only did a few articles to make sure they payed me and that they accpepted my articles. It's a very good site! Also have a very supportive forum area too.

If you got good with it or you are already a good writter, it would be pretty easy to make around $40 - $50 a day easily. Submit like 10 good articles a day and probably get paid like everyday.

AC is a good site! Thanks for sharing this.

Another great way to make money with articles is to write them yourself and distribute them to article directories.

Once you write that article, you can add you website at the end of the article and this can give you some free traffic.

I have been doing this for about 2-3 years and it works.

Is that from Helium? That's great news - good to know. I will try to write more articles and update my site.

Which article directories do you use? Do you mind sharing? I have just had an article published on ezinearticles and they are excellent.

I'm going to try AC this week. I've not had a good response from Constant Content and had to remove them from my site. I can't promote a company I'm not happy with no matter how high the commission. Will report back on AC - so far their customer service has been commendable.

Yeah the constant content people are jerks. They will cut you down and basically insult you over the smallest of errors on your writting.

I don't advise them. AC seems to work a lot better.

Hi everyone,
Since I last posted I have reopened the Constant Content programme on my site as issues have been resolved and it's a valuable resource for UK writers. My tips for success with this site is to make sure that you write topical articles that will interest buyers as opposed to writing articles of interest. This rule probably would apply to all article and feature writing for freelancers. I have also now added Get A Freelancer (find details on my site on the Writing Page - under the sub heading 'Earn Cash Writing Online Articles'. I receive half a dozen emails from them (often more!) everyday for bids on jobs that match my profile. Definitely worth signing up for. They accept International registrations.
Will keep you posted on anything else I come across

I actually had the quickest result I've ever seen from ezinearticles today. Article got approved yesterday, today someone clicked through my url in the resource box then through one of the adsense ads on my site. It's only 39 cents, but usually it takes several days for that to happen (at least in my experience)

EDIT:

The really crazy thing about it is, the website is brand new. I haven't had time to really do anything with it. There's only one page with adsense on it, so the person had to go to that page then click the ad what are the odds?

That was quick but proves a point!
How many articles do you try to submit on a weekly basis? Also, do you submit the same article to several different directories at the same time?

Thanks and wishing everyone a great 2008!

Viola

As far as which directories, I only use ezinearticles. That may change if I start running into the approval problems I've heard people complain about. Apparently, ezinearticles is trying to crack down on keyword stuffing and hitting people with that and rejecting a ton of articles. This hasn't affected me much because I tend to write articles that I think will make people click my link, rather than write articles I think the search engines will like.

My personal style is trying to write/submit 1 per day and add 1 per day to my site.

The main reason I only submit to ezinearticles is I'd like my articles to be pretty much unique. When they get pasted all over the web, it's good because it links to your site, but your site won't ever come up in searches for those keywords because all the article directories have higher page rank than your site.

My thinking on it is: if they find the title of my article on a google search and go to my site, they're on my site - the reason I wrote the articles in the first place. If they find the title of the article on a google search and go to an article directory to read the article, then they need to be intrigued enough to click my link. Think of it as
click-through-rate - seeing your title on search engine results is 100% click through, in my experience, click-through to my sites from articles on ezinearticles is about 15%.

I really like writing articles and articles on finance have worked for me the best so far. There are a variety of websites I have used, but I think that Google's Knol will be the best place for authors who want to earn money by writing articles.
