I would recommend signing up to an affiliate market site. Get going with that. You can promote products and earn some good money if you put in the work. You can also check out the sites on my sig for some info and programs available.

I got my site set up with Plug In Profit site initially. Then, with a lot of hard work, I turned it into something unique and all my own.

The key is originality. plug in Profit lets you get set up very fast. It's free for the 1st month because your hosting fee is paid back to you right into your paypal account. The hosting is month to month so, if you can't get it to work for you, you've got an easy out.

But, with PIP, you get a 30 days to success guide that tells you everything you need to do to make some money with it. There are 6 streams of income already implemented right into your ready - made site.

You can upgrade all kinds of stuff, but you don't have to shell out any money to get this to work, if you're willing to put in time and effort.

Here's a link to what my PIP site looked like in the beginning: [Link removed - Admin]

Then, it's already set up and you can concentrate on making it your own and promoting so that you can make some money.

My website [Link removed - Admin] is designed specifically to help people who are new to home based business get the information they need to suceed. I post new content on there all the time.

In fact, I'm in the process of creating an ezine for my newsletter subscribers. as of right now, my newsletter is what was set up for me through PIP (you get 400 emails in your autoresponder with the free setup). I didn't change it because I wanted my subscribers to see what they would get with a PIP setup.

It's a good program to start out with because it's very Newbie Friendly and you really do learn a lot from the 30 days guide. You just have to fight the urge to spend money on upgrades you can learn to do yourself. They will offer you all kinds of expensive "boosters" that you really don't need.

I didn't upgrade ANYTHING except my autoresponder (because it's an essential home business tool) and that's not expensive. You can pay month to month for that as well in case it doesn't work out for you.

That said, with only hard work and research, no PIP upgrades, I have been able to turn my site into a great little business for myself. I'm a single mother and I'm now able to work at home full time. My home business is my ONLY income.

If I can do it, anyone can. Check out my site for Newbie Tips, articles, Newsletter, free downloads. Everything there is made especially for home business "newbies" just like I was when I started.

I'm here to help, that's what my "job" is now. It's my calling. The contact button on my site has 5 different ways to get a hold of me if you need a hand so, it's there if you need it.

Having your own home business is so much fun once you get the hang of it, that I can promise you. You've just got to be willing to put in the effort. It's great that you have a lot of time you can put into it right from the start, thats' a plus already.

Good luck to you, I hope you find what you're looking for.

Sheree

You'll hear the same thing over and over again, if you erad affiliate marketing is teh way to go if you want to learn the ropes. You can see what works adn what does not for relatively little money. Find a good mentor on top of that and from 1-5 months you'll be making some money.

I have 2 different hosts because I'm on my 2nd website andI wanted to try out another host. I know that there are some cheap ones out there, but guess what.

I've only had my 2nd account for like 2 weeks and it's already been down twice. My other host is never ever down. It also has all the resources you'll ever need to grow your business as you learn. Lots of room, secure server allows you to accept cc payments, search engine submission feature, affiliate program, mail services, shopping cart feature for when you start selling your own stuff, and the best part...

They are there to help you. I would've never made it through the rebuilding of my Plug In Profit site without the staff at my server.

I think I'll write a review article actually. I had forgotten that it was an affiliate program as well.

Anyway, it's great. So is the autoresponder that you're set up with. My favorite part is the month to month option because who knows what might happen in a year?

Good luck to everyone. See you at the top

Hi bburt and welcome to the forum!

It's a good thing that you stumbled into this forum. I got started with internet marketing through this forum too. Affiliate marketing is the easiest to learn and fastest to apply, if you are up to it but I suggest you check the other threads in this forum before plunging into any program so you'll know what would be applicable to you.

Good luck! Work Hard, Play Hard!

I hate to break the news to you, but there are no "get rich quick" or even "get checks quick" opportunities online. If you see one, realize that the goal of the website in question is to take your money...the only thing that will happen "quickly" is that you will lose your money.

Having said this, you can make money online, but it takes time and effort.

I agree with get a grip. You really have to take your business seriously and treat it like you would a brick and mortar business.

Make sure you have all the tools you need:

1.A Good System You Can Duplicate (A Mentor)
2.Several Streams of Income (Affiliate Programs, Resell Rights, Your Own Product)
3.Your Own Website (not a free 'doorway page')
4. A Good Host That You Can Grow With As You Learn
5. A Good Autoresponder
6. A Target Market (Research Your Market, Especially a really competitive niche, like "work from home")

It really is do able. The phrase I always keep in mind is:

"Don't Try To Reinvent The Wheel"

Just duplicate what works and you'll be fine.

What is your motive? If you need cash right now find a good private label right product, get a PayPal account and sell it online. You can have cash in your account very quickly.

For a longer term approach start a blog or website in a theme you have a passion for. Find some good affiliate products and sell them.

Residual income is the best walk away approach and network marketing and 2 tier affiliate programs could do that for you.

If you just want a job at home check out site like TJobs.com

I like the affiliate programs....instant money vault....or the profit lance....theres a lot more (check out my sig) but they are fun and you can make some good money over time. It all depends on how much time you put into it and how well you market it. Good luck!
