I want to start using email to sell products, but I don't have a list. I would like to market to "Newbies" already working from home or anyone wanting to start a home based business.

I would also like to have an autoresponder that would send out past campaigns that have already been sent to people that are already signed up. In other words, I want it to start over and over for each new sign up.

If anyone has any ideas on how I can get a list and a good autoresponder that will do what I want please let me know.

You can email me at [email protected] or [email protected]

Continued Success

You can start building an opt-in list using a form on your website designed to capture names and addresses. This form could invite visitors to subscribe to your newsletter, register for an email course, get a free gift, participate in a survey, or any other useful incentive you could create.

Next, find places online where "newbies" that fit your profile would hang out. Run classifieds in those places and include a link back to your website where they could sign up for your offer. This will get the ball rolling.

In the autoresponder world, www.aweber.com and www.getresponse.com are highly regarded in terms of reputation, reliability and product quality.

If your budget cannot handle their monthly costs, and you have a smattering of technical know-how, you might want to consider the very versatile Master Form V4 or Master Autoresponder Bank from http://willmaster.com/master/.

Hope this helps. All the best!

Hermas

The best list is one which you create yourself (like Hermas mentioned in his post). The email lists you are looking to buy have been pounded endless times with offers. It is highly unlikely that any one of them will ever read your email offer. Worst, it might even land you in trouble for spamming, if anybody complaints.

Remember, most of them are frustrated of getting their email box flooded with offers and few will also question as to how on earth they got on your list. The result is a barrage of verbal abuses resulting in an experience you'll not like to remember for long

Thanks for the feedback guys.....I just have one more question. I am a member of several different forums, and I was wondering whether or not it's possible to post in the forums asking for signups. I'd say something like....."Attn All Newbies, if you want to start a home business, but are not sure what to do or how to do it, sign up at my site and I will personally help you find the right work at home business for you."

Is that legel? This is the type of service I would like to offer, I'm not sure if anyone has the market on "Work at Home Consultants", but this is what I'm heading toward.

let me know what you all think.

Thanks

NO! Don't do that! All credible forums (including this one) has strict anti-spamming policies. You'll most likely be deleted from the forums if you posts such messages.

To make the most from message boards, read this thread.

Hi Lavonda

What you want to do is download a free copy of "Contact List Builder" by Janet Lagere from here:
[Affiliate link removed - Admin]

It's a short read (less than an evening) but has some excellent advice and examples of using safelists to build your lists. I'm using the techniques now and it works!

Since it can take awhile to build a good size list that way, you can also purchase leads from a respectable source. I purchase from JVLeads because you can purchase 2,000 fresh leads monthly with fresh being 0-3 days and the kicker for me is they are only sold to me! No one else. You can read more about their service here:

The key (which is found in the ebook above) is not trying to sell anything to your prospects first. Take the time build a relationship first. Once I figured that I, things starting working for me.

As for autoresponders, I've used my own (beats the monthly expenses) but went on and signed up for a pro-account with getresponse since it came with a pre-built newsletter as part of the Plug-in Profit site system. The only minor drawback I see with getresponse is that when you import leads, they have to confirm their requests to receive info from you which sometimes they don't do.

Hope this bit of info helps.

GetResponse need people to confirm that they have subscribed while awber have the option to choose whether you want a double-opt in lead or not. That is the only drawback with getresponse.

But it is kind of good. It will help to filter whether the person is really interested in the newsletter when they clicked on the submit button.
