Just wondering what is the fastest way to make money from home. Please don't say affiliate marketing, tried it, didn't work, lost money. Any other ideas? I was reading around here it seems like there is quite a bit of experience on this forum. Thanks.

Hello workingmom10,
This is only my personal opinion... but it is based on years of experience in network and Internet marketing.
Fast income is relative.
Most folks who claim to make a lot of money really fast have either put up decent amounts to pay for advertising, or they're doing something illegal, or they're lying about their results.
Perhaps you should be looking for the opportunity that speaks to your passion, rather than how fast you can make money.
For example, if you have a hobby, look for a way to make money with it... maybe something like eBay(although it will take money and time), or maybe even something in the network marketing world.
I retired from all marketing last year, and have been enjoying the fruits of my labor. A couple months ago, I received word of a business. One of the co-founders is someone I have worked with, and greatly respect.
It took me well over a month of research to come out of retirement and join the business. I found it was something that totally consumed my passion and I couldn't sit on the sidelines.

Unless you really know what you are doing it takes some time and effort to make money online, some people think you can make money over night but this is just not the case. Just out of curiosity how did you lose money being a affiliate and how long did you try.

Hemjoe, PPC did me in. I can't remember how long I tried it. It was a while ago. Clicks, no sales. By the way, thanks for the responses. I really appreciate it.

Affiliate marketing does work and it doesn't have to cost a fortune. I built my sites for affiliate marketing and adsense to start with. I have never spent a dime on PPC, and I make money on my site from both adsense and affiliate commissions.
It does take time and effort like the others posted. I didn't start making money for the first few months. But since then, my income increases each month. I make more than the cost of maintaining my sites (they cost me $25 per month for hosting, etc. with SBI) and everything else is profit.
You can make affiliate marketing work for you if you just learn to do it in a cost effective and successful way. The first step is choosing a subject/niche you love, enjoy, or are really interested in.
The second step is to have the right tools and training to build a successful site (I recommend SBI because it is what I know and love - they provide step by step instructions and everything you need).
After that, all you need is the motivation and effort on your part and a good dose of patience.
Don't give up too soon. You really can do it!

Network marketing is really powerful if you can find a good sponsor who will walk you through the whole getting started process.
What you've got to understand is that nothing happens without putting forth a certain amount of effort. A lot of people just give up too quick and expect something from nothing.
I'm not saying that's what happened to you with affiliate marketing, maybe it just wasn't for you. But with any business online or off you have to be willing to make at least some investment of both money and time.
The good news is that it is only a fraction of the cost to start an Internet business than it is a traditional business.

Hey workingmom10,
My wife and I have five children, ages 6 through 11. We both work from our home, enjoying whatever we love the most.
For example, Rayvin does energy healing and I craft didgeridoos and teach workshops on how to play them. Together, we do sound therapy using the didgeridoo and Tibetan Singing Bowls combined.
We also do live performances, whenever the occasion arises, with our African Djembe drumming group. Money comes frequently and easily through various channels when you open yourself up to the possibilities.
But I doubt any of the above is duplicatable to the masses. Not everyone can make money in the didgeridoo business.
But everybody who is intelligent and earnest can earn long-term and residual income in the network marketing industry with a simple and duplicatable system.
The system we have for making money in the network marketing industry can be copied by a large group of people over a long period of time, and it yields predicable results that spell, Absolute Financial Freedom.
