I hope this post will answer some of your questions about finding profitable niche markets...
Ok so... most niche markets are composed of people who want to solve a problem (And when most people have a problem they are fanatical about solving, removing, fixing, repairing, curing, etc, etc that problem TODAY, this means they are more willing to BUY the solution to that problem.)
So let's do a little test...
Go to: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal (Google's Free Keyword Tool) and type in the word "remove" (make sure you un-click the "Use synonyms" button) then enter in the code and click on "Get keyword ideas" you will then see a list of keywords (search phrases) people are using to find solutions to their problems...
See how powerful this can be!!!
Here are some other awesome "pre-terms" (words people use to find solutions to problems) you can use to find niche markets that are ready to buy! Just remember...
Find out WHO your perfect customer is and WHY they are buying before you promote anything... DO YOUR RESEARCH!

To find GREAT niche markets you need to dig down and find groups of hungry people (people that ARE buying) who are searching for every specific things...

Used Ford F150 Trucks In Sacramento California
Used Red Ford F150 Truck In Sacramento California --> Niche Market

Great Post! People are always looking online for ways to solve their problems, especially embarassing ones - these are some the most desperate buyers of all!
Also, as Netbiz eluded to above, the more words a keyword phrase contains, the more targeted and oriented to a specific niche it is.

Funny you should mention it.... "How to" is probably my most over-used search term every time I use google, lol.

Great niche finding advice! Nice use of Google's free keyword tool.
Also check out Google Suggest in the Google Labs http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en
Then try the same pre-terms you mention - you might find a niche gem or two

Now remember... If you really want to make money... DON'T forget to set-up ALL your campaigns like this...
Niche Market --> "Your" Perfect Customer --> Relevant Ad & Ad Groups or Articles & Bio Boxes --> Relevant Landing Page --> Relevant Products and/or Services

I hope you all know that Google's Free Keyword Tool (https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExterna) now shows numbers instead of bars.......
THIS IS HUGE!!!!

Yeah, another thing about getting targetted traffic is to optimize your website so that your keywords rank high in google results.
getting your keywords right is a half battle won, make sure that there is substantial search request for that particular keyword/phrase.
