Hello

I have been working at home for several months now and i want to increase my income through advertising. I am already registered with US free ads, does anyone know any other sites that are similar to this? Or does anyone know any other way to increase traffic?

Thanks

Have you tried craigslist? How often do you post on your blog? Blogs are a good way to generate traffic to your site but you have to post regularly to keep fresh content there and you will want to use good keywords to rank higher in the search engines...

Hi ipodnano7,

You can use Squidoo and Hub Pages, both have tutorials to help you get started.
Also you can write articles...
and use OnlyWire for more exposure.
These are free..
Have a great day!

Keep posting in your blog, that is the best way I have found so far. I recently started my first blog and am already getting some good search engine traffic. Also, I am getting a fair amount of traffic from BlogCatalog.com. Find some people on there that share the same niche as you and ask for link exchanges. Also, post your blogs to other social bookmarking sites (digg, stumbleupon, etc.). I have found all to give a little traffic. That should get you started.

US FreeAds is ok. I used it for awhile but was not too much of a fan. I'm sure that is more of a personal experience, as I know others have done well with it.

As mentioned above, Squidoo is great. There are article directory sites which may help as well. Ezine articles gets tossed out there a bunch.

Blogging is great, and when combined with RSS (which is gaining popularity) it can yield nice return visits for your new content.

Craigslist is great, but you will want to keep an eye on your ad for reposting when it goes down.

Of course, forum marketing is always popular, as is social network marketing with Facebook or Myspace.

Or, if you have a highly visual topic, YouTube can bring in some quality visitors.

Most people cringe at the idea of PPC, but if you bone up on AdWords or another equivalent, you can get decent cost-per-click averages and targeted traffic.

There are really no limits to how a site can be marketed online. The Internet keeps growing everyday, and new venues are always popping up.

Also, there's nothing saying you can't advertise offline as well. Hope this helped.

It's all great to know WHERE to advertise but unless you know HOW to advertise effectively, knowing WHERE won't help you.

You can learn for free what to say and what to do.

It's important to work with somebody who can keep you on target.

I was paying over $1500 a month for leads. When I decided to create my own I went out and got 10,000 myspace friends on 2 sites. At least half of my business now comes from there.

Submitting articles to article directories is a great way to get lasting traffic for years to come. It can also help your seo ranking if you carefully choose your keywords.

You've been given some great ideas so far, some of which I use on a regular basis. I do alot of free and very low cost advertising and it's working out very well. Press Releases are a great way to get targeted traffic. They're immediate and don't take weeks to reach your audience. Give them a try!
