One of the keys to success in network marketing is choosing the right company for you.
As I search the internet, almost all of the guides on choosing the right company I've been seeing point out eventually to the company the author is promoting.
Do you know where I can find an objective, third party guide on how to choose the right company, a guide written by someone who is not promoting a particular bizopp.

I really don't think you can. If you see that someone says good things about a specific program without linking to that program in their signature file, or without trying to post a link to that program from within their post (which the moderators usually catch), that is probably as unbiased as you are going to get.
Having said this, that doesn't mean people don't promote what they believe in. I promote a specific program and recommend it to others because I believe in that program, so sometimes, you just have to make a judgement call, although you can look at the actual number of people promoting the program you are interested in. If enough people say it is a quality program, there is a fairly good chance that it really is...

Great question - I agree that is usually what happens. I am using an educational tool to build my business that is used by about fifteen or twenty different companies and I really like it.... A lot of the people that read it, do end up joining the company that the author is involved in but that just stands to reason!
Why not follow someone that has already researched hundreds of companies if you trust what you are reading.... which is exactly why there is so much network marketing being done using educational materials.
People join people - and if they can trust you and know there will be guidance and mentorship, plus the fact that you are targeting a hungry audience that is searching for answers thru ebooks and educational materials, is a fun way to build a business if you don't mind helping people.
(At least it is way more fun than what I used to do before I discovered social networking!)
