Hello Everyone,
I am getting many phone calls from fellow Internet Marketers complaining about Craig's. If you are posting to Craig's List you know what I am talking about.
FLAGGED, FLAGGED, FLAGGED and REMOVED!
Does anyone have anything they would like to share about Craig's List and how you are keeping your ads up and live?

No problems here. Try not to be blatant would be my advice. People have been sick of "make money online" ads for years. I can't knock Craigs' for cracking down.

So far no problems for me. I am careful what class I post in. I usually post in services under the "small biz ads" and have had no problems yet.

I don't use Craig's as often as I should - I need to get better organized!
I've been flagged a few times, but as mentioned above, if you post in services, you seem to have less trouble. Also, the region you choose makes a difference.
If I remember correctly (old age, you know) I believe it was when posting in the most popular regions like San Fran, etc., that I was flagged.
I finally got around to posting a couple of ads (chose Delaware this time) yesterday, and they seemed to go through okay. Well, so far so good.

I must defer to my wife's experiance on this. She created a spreadsheet of where her post where getting flagged and most came from more populated cities.
Tips:
Use an image.
Do not be so blatant as Shield said. If you post "Make millions today" in the job section chances are you're going to get flagged.
Service posting get's flagged the least, but also has the least return.
Trial and error, wording correctly, and MULTIPLE EMAIL ACCOUNTS forwarding to a main one are highly recommended. I suggest a free service like live.com where you can link the accounts and have them auto forward.

This is AWESOME! I thank everyone for your insightful responses keep it coming!
Food for thought...
Craig's List is in the mist of a shift. They have been making a shift away from a totally free site (minus advertising cost) to a paid services organization. I do agree prospects are tired of the same old, "MAKE $100K IN 30 DAYS!" ads.
What I do disagree with is the tactics by which Craig's List is forcing marketers to use their paid services. If you are a paid service, be a paid service, not a psuedo free site forcing marketers to use your paid services.
I get countless emails from Internet Marketers saying enough is enough. They are migrating away from Craig's List to other free sites.

It is interesting to hear you post in Delaware.
Here is why:
- San Fran
- New York
- Las Angeles
Generates roughly 30% of all Craig's List traffic, but produces more than 70%+ of the page turns. A page turn is the equivalent of someone looking at your ad.
In smaller states like Delaware, your ad will stand out, but generally does not have the page turns of the same ad posted in San Fran or Los Angeles.

 I just picked Delaware this week because I happen to have a sister that lives there. Great strategy, eh?
Thanks for the info. though. I really don't rely to much on Craig's list, so I guess I haven't done the research to make the best of it.

That's great news to hear people migrating away from it. That means more time for my add to sit on top.
I agree with the larger city posting, however; you have to decided if you are looking for quantity or quality and also you must decide just how long your add is going to be near the top, or if you are searchable in a good light. Craig's list is a very easy very effective way to get a contact list going.

This site is one of thousands. Many Internet marketers are not happy with the recent turn of events. Have you posted on Craig's List lately? All you have to do is post and you will see what I am talking about.
It will become very clear what they are doing. Not to mention; you will see a similar ad and their ad sticks only to find out they are paying and linking their ads.

Anybody have any advice on how to post an add on craigslist promoting a blog? I mean, you can't just say, "come see my blog". Any ideas?
Regarding what city to post in, I've heard that Montreal is good too.

Using a good automatic ad submitter really increases efficiency and longevity of ads that you post. It's worth the investment, especially if Craigslist is a major part of your marketing.
