Has anyone found a good strategy using blog commenting to get lots of backlinks. I actually did try using an experiment sometime ago by focusing on dofollow blogs with top commentator list. The strategy I used is simple. I choose a few good blogs in the same niche to do comments . After becoming the top commentator for these blogs I made sure I maintain my position throughout the month. Then I move to a few more blogs and repeat the process. I found that by doing this got me lots of backlinks.

Just want to find out if anyone has other new ideas about growing your backlinks. But do you think growing backlinks too fast too much like this could be bad in Google's eyes. What do you think?

Hi Peter,

I would pick a few blogs that you really enjoy visiting and focus on the quality of your comments rather than the quantity. I'm sure you know that the admin has the ability to reject your comments if he/she feels that they are spammy or weak.

You might also allocate some time for forum, article, and other types of backlinks.

Google is aware of comment spammers and other gaming methods. They are proactive in dealing with this sort of trickery. The exact number and profile that would set off a flag is not something they share with the public.

Best advice is not to get too carried away.

Articles is one of the best ways to get backlinks...for me.... whenever you post to your blog, submit the same (or revised) as an article with a backlink to your blog.

This is also my favorite way of building back links particularly submitting articles to ezinearticles.com

Ya - and I am in suspension again... you would think I would learn but no, I posted an article and had some brand names in it, so am happily adding articles to the draft list and when they okay me again, I will have a bunch that are ready to go....

Viola,

Your article-writing arm must be a bit tender by now after all the
little spankings EA has been giving you for being naughty.

Where were you when I was young?! My parents weren't abusive, but they were a tad spank-happy and I was a spanky magnet!

Got my mouth washed out with soap a couple of times. It's extra effective when the soap comes in the form of a bar and they run it across your teeth so it really sticks!

Did anyone else get "grounded" on a regular basis or am I the only one?

Ah, memories!!

M5: Sorry you're having trouble with EA. That really sux. Glad you know what to avoid in the future though!

haha - you remind me of my brother... he was a busy one. I was pretty mild compared to him.

Or now that I stop to think about it, maybe I was just better at getting out of things... hmmm...I never got the soap treatment but he did.

My parents were not abusive either - they had a pretty good handle on the discipline area as we had a really happy childhood - spankings and all.

I DID get into trouble enough to know that the wooden spoon was way more to be feared than a bigger stick.

And I always kept a wooden spoon in a drawer when my kids were little as well. Didn't use it often but all I had to do was move toward the drawer and they would straighten up.

I am so glad they are past that age - although I am not so sure that the wooden spoon age is a mite easier than the teenage years!

Lol, most of my spankings involved experiencing the "joys" of the infamous Wooden Spoon as well. Gawd, that hurt!!

My mom would just say "Wooden Spoon" and we'd straighten out instantly - especially since we got it on the bare arse.

Lol, 'til now I thought my mom came up with that one herself :)
