Hi All,

I need your feedback. Which of the Web 2.0 marketing techniques have proven to be the most effective in your campaigns?

Which techniques are best for lead generation and conversions?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome Perpetual,
I do a variety of things such as posting in forums, writing articles - which draws high targeted traffic to your site , and I also am working on an SBI site which trains you how to get found on google...

I don't know if that is what you are looking for - maybe someone else will stop by soon...

The whole Web 2.0 marketing model isn't about individual components performing better than the others. Rather, it's about the combination of them all synergistically working together to create a result. So, given the context of Web 2.0, your question doesn't really make much sense. It's sort of like saying, "Which auto part helps your car to be most fuel efficient?"

Can you explain what Web 2.0 is? I thought I heard that it has something to do with Myspace and Facebook, but I'm not sure about that...

getagrip,

Essentially, it's a group of platforms such as social book marking and social networking. Some examples of web 2.0 sites are blogs, Hub Pages, Squidoo, MySpace, Facebook, Digg, Stumble Upon, and similar.

The only thing a person really needs to know beyond that is to learn to use them individually and as a group to increase traffic, sales, and to provide information.

Not much more to it really. It's just a buzz word for the most part. You access and use these platforms pretty much the same way as you have been using non-web 2.0 platforms. It's just software on a server

Everyone is right about using web 2.0 marketing as far as it being most effective when it is all correlating together. Web 2.0 can also involve creating video's and tutorials and things of that nature. You can use window's movie maker to edit the video and add your website into the video as well as credits or wherever. That does help to drive traffic. Just whatever you do don't make it like a commercial or pushing a business opportunity to the viewer. The results that you can get with video are more effective when you are adding value to people like when you are teaching them something or sharing personal experience with them.

Also important to have an opt in page. This will be important so that you can build your list. Create messages inside that have to do with your business as well as helping or being of value to those who have opted in. When people opt in most are not looking to be advertised to over and over about a business or product.

So really, whatever different ways you decide to go about it, through social networking, blogging, articles, video's, opt ins, or any other web 2.0 service the idea should always be: To give more in use value than cash value received and to communicate, empower, inspire and develop relationships based on the needs, wants and desires of the market and not our own.

A couple of things that help with bookmarking traffic - don't just submit your marketing sites - submits sites you really like that are not yours. If you only submit sites that sell stuff people will get suspicious. Also, make friends on these sites and join in the community, if you build a community more people will click on you links.

These are all excellent responses to your post. I might add that a really terrific book to read the is "The Authority Black Book" by Jack Humphrey. It's free, and it really goes into detail on how to generate traffic using a Web 2.0 and blogging.
