Where do you register and host your websites? I am planning to
register a personal website for my own use and I was wondering if you can tell me where I can do it with as little investment as is possible.

I register my domains at godaddy.com and host my sites at pair.com. Their basic plan starts at $5.95/month and offer lots of space and bandwidth. You probably wouldn't need all that space for a personal website.

Other probables for hosting is:

godaddy.com (starts at $3.95/month)

If the prices are on the high side for you, let me know and I'll search for lower priced ones. Actually there are tons of web hosting companies but reliable and customer friendly ones are difficult to find.

I also use GoDaddy as my registrar. Their site is easy to use and navigate. p4host.com hosts one of my web sites. Ridiculously cheap ($24/year), with decent features.

Are you sure you actually need a website? If you just want to have something that you can post on the Web, you may only need a Blog.
Most have pretty good graphics and you can post whenever you want. All I have seen are free.
I use http://blogspot.com they are pretty good.

you can also consider registering a domain at enom.com or namecheap.com since they also offer a cheap domain registration. I think yahoo now also has a promo for $2.99/yr domain registration...

Yes Joe is right, also most of them does'nt knows the SEO techniques to get free traffic for their site, if u have ur pages in blogspot.com, google will easy crawl and you will get good results quickly from G's SE... just post useful informations and see how will get results from them...

if u r newbie to this webmaster world, I highly recommend go for this, or if u r novice person, go for the best hosting recommended above and get started.... good luck..

I have learned that it is best to search for a host with good uptime and a fast page load with good, friendly, and responsive customer service. It will pay off in the long run.
